I also traded in a 2012 for a 2015. Both were Overlands with the same features & options.
The differences are almost Night & Day. The 2015 feels more refined & responsive. The 8-Speed transmission makes a huge difference. The vehicle accelerates faster and has a higher top speed. And Sport Mode is now VERY aggressive compared to the 2012 version. Other improvements I like include:
- Better instrument cluster
- Bigger & better NAV screen & system
- Power Folding Side Mirrors
- Paddle Shifters coupled with rev matching transmission
- Much better looking headlights & DRLs
I went from a 2012 Mineral Grey to a 2015 Granite & that is also an improvement IMHO. It feels as if Jeep darkened the factory tint on the front windows. But that also might be my impression since I also changed from a light colored interior to a black one. Either way, the interior stays cooler in hot sunlight.
Overall, I couldn't be happier.
