Re: TurboSpartan - 4x4 CO Thread

A few updates on places I've been recently:

Weekend of October 5th, traveled from Denver to Gunnison (stayed the night there), woke up and drove down to Telluride. Had reservations in Ouray for the night, and with Imogene and Ophir being closed... we ended up taking Last Dollar Road back to Ridgway and then down to Ouray.

Here is the map of Last Dollar Road: https://maps.google.com/maps?saddr=T...ra=ls&t=m&z=11

Pano right before Dallas Divide:

Bridal Veil falls, from down in the valley (gf didn't want to drive up there):

Re: TurboSpartan - 4x4 CO Thread

This past weekend, we went up to Aspen and stayed in a baller-condo about 100 yards from the Aspen Mountain ski resort gondola.

Saturday we drove up to Ashcroft ghost town, hiked a little of the Cathedral Lake trail (only partially, not enough time for all the way up and down), then took the Express Creek Road (turns into Taylor Pass eventually) up to the first hut before turning back (all while having 6 people in the wk2, including one in the back).

On Sunday, we drove up Aspen Mountain on the "summer road". We only made it a little ways up before the passengers wanted to turn around. Trail was a little slick / muddy, and being near the edges caused some to be nervous.

Re: TurboSpartan - 4x4 CO Thread

Nice pics, trails and of course the GC, very jealous, hard to find trails like that in New York. Question? Are your tires Nittos and are they stock or 275/55. They look like stock but wasn't 100% - thanks?

Yes they are Nitto Terra Grapplers, and they are stock size (265/50/20).

Re: TurboSpartan - 4x4 CO Thread

About a month ago, I ran Slaughterhouse Gulch, up near Bailey, CO.

TrailDamage.com - Slaughterhouse Gulch

Fun trail. It hailed for a while, which actually made the trail a little slick. Had no issues running the trail, other than the "whoopdy whoop" section, where my rear passenger side wheel was about 2-3' off the ground (per the passenger, who opened the door and said "oh shit").

Some pics:
