Re: Updated photos (more blacking out)

Looking pretty good! My only issue with the rear end is the Plasti-Dip on the trim piece (where the Jeep logo is located) . It doesn't match or flow with the taillights or any other part of the rear.

Why make it look cheap from the rest?

Thanks for the compliments on it, still enjoy it every time I walk out to it.

Honestly I do not think it makes it look cheap. With the tinted tails it really just flows back there. I felt the Chrome would look out of place if I had the rest of the rear black, while I think with the little chrome on the mirrors make it have a different but good look. If I had the money sure I'd go with the altitude parts, but for a quick hit I think this does a great job.

I took them off, did 1 at a time as I just had a floor jack.

Re: Updated photos (more blacking out)

I'm not a big fan of the plastic dip on the rear brow (I'd have it color-matched) otherwise it looks great. Nice job!

Trent -

Was looking at threads tagged with "Lamin-x" for taillight tinting and I came across this picture... I see your IL plate and that it has a cover on it (and your location is Chicago). I just recently moved to the city from downstate and had license plate tints on my Ram before I got my WK2, however I didn't keep the plate covers. Have you had any issues in/around the city due to the covers on your plates? I really want to get them again, but with all the toll cameras, speed cameras, and red light cameras, I heard it can cause problems (and fines if you get pulled over). Any thoughts?

Thanks!

Yea so I ended up taking my tinted rear cover off awhile back cuz of getting hassled. It wasn't that big of an issue, just got two warnings and figured it wasn't worth it, especially if I was out drinking at all. I still have my front tinted cover on and have never had an issue with that.
