My sister has a white wrangler rocky ridge. Got a decent lift and all kinds of goodies on it. Beats the snot out of it off road too. I lowered mine and wipe the bugs off of it lol
I have a 15' Summit with the air ride. Looking at options to lower the car. You have lowering links looking to see if you could share more information on those. Availability and pricing.
I bought the parts online. I bought the 4 ball sockets online and took them into the nearest Home Depot and bought the correct size threading. I had to cut the threading only about an inch to get them to the desired height.
Easy cut with a nice hand saw or dremel. I then got bolts and locked everything together after I made them the desired length.
All in all it cost me about $60.00
Takes less than 1 minute per side to install.
I went down about 1 full inch on each corner. It rides perfect. I am 7,000 miles and the tires look perfect still
When the car sits it looks fantastic.
If you want I can find the site I bought them from, I know there were a couple members buying , making and selling them on here for a very reasonable amount on top of cost.
Thanks for the info but I'm confused. What exactly are you doing that it takes 1 minute per side? Are there instructions for this? Want to see the process before I go and buy stuff. Is it easy to put everything back when I bring it to the dealership?
I think I can dig up pictures or threads for you. You literally put the jeep in off-road 1 or 2, (don't forget to turn off entry exit mode) reach inside the wheel and pop off the ball sockets that are connected to the leveling arms. I drive around with them in my glove box in case I am ever in a pinch and need to toss the other ones back in on the side of the road.
Yes please. You've sold me. If you can provide information on what to buy + instructions I'll def do this. This is my 4th car in 12 years of driving and so far 2 of them were lowered. Looking to have this lowered too. I'm in North Jersey so being low is cool and having the ability to go up for speed bumps or drive ways is great. You're in PA so I know you understand.
