Zombi, nicely done! Curious as to where you pulled your wires into the cabin and mounted the switch for the lights?

Re: Winch and Spots fitted!!

Theres a blank grommet through the firewall directly above the steering shaft, but this may only be on rh drive jeeps exirs below the wiper motor

I actually didn't fit a switch... thus no need for wires in the cabin...

Ok, so how do you turn your lights on?

Hmmmmm, think I'll start looking into a wireless remote switch to fire mine.

[nicjak - thx, I'll look for the grommet.]

Re: Winch and Spots fitted!!

The lights would be triggered through a relay from his high beam minus a cabin on off switch.

that's it...

No need for the internal switch, the main beams triggers the Spots. Were we live if you are on brights it's for a good reason... there is nothing else out there.. Just animals and pot holes!.

Re: Winch and Spots fitted!!

Thought I will add some pics of the Grand and everything that I have done with it... And plans going forward...

She has been on a load bed twice!!!.

First time round a "(*)!"(*)!king rat chewed off one of the front QL Air lines... Spent 5 hours in a tow truck! not a happy pupy, but Jeep sorted us out in a day!!. (How's this for a cheap lowering kit...)

Then the battery died - no warning, nothing.. It just Died!!!.

So out of interest - how do you move a GC with NO power on it.... any takers??... You hook up a booster pack - hook up your other jeeps winch, put the GC in N and away you go!. (also add a bodybuilder in the GC to do the turing)

But if there are no rats, and the Battery is all powered up, then this is one awesome machine!!. the CAI and the Diablo Trinity with Hemi Fever tune is awesome!!

Moving the horses

Some pics, quite old, but Damn it was an awesome trip!!!.

So for now we are planning another trip to the Kruger National Park!. Will be taking the same trailer with.

Future plans - New Rims with a 20mm offset and some GY Duratrac 275x65x17's and mount the Roof rack.
