I spent some time last week getting my Jeep ready for winter here in Cleveland (I know, a little late...). I try to do at least two full interior and exterior details per year with a lot of paint maintenance in between.
Heres what I did;
1 round of Megs Ultimate compound applied with a DA (had some minor swirl marks)
1 round of Megs Ultimate polish applied with a DA (provides a great deep shine on black and is really easy to work with)
2 coats of Megs #21 professional sealant over the entire vehicle on a with a twelve hour cure time between coats (have had really good luck with the durability throughout our harsh winters up here)
Dressed/sealed all exterior black plastic with 303
Full interior vacuum (didn't have time to shampoo)
Scrubbed and treated the rubber mats with 303
Went over all the leather with Megs gold class leather cleaner/conditioner
Overall I'm pretty happy with the results, I don't tend to clay during my winter detail because i'm usually strapped for time so I leave it until late May.
Here are a few pics that I snapped with my Iphone as soon as I pulled her out of the garage. The pics really don't do the pearl black justice, I just can't get over how good the color looks! *These were taken pre 303 on the trim and pre tire dressing.
I'm always interested in learning new tips for detailing as it's a sort of therapy for me. That being said, bring on the comments!
