Try XXX bro, its carnuba with a polymer blend, its also not a cleaner wax so you can layer, my jeep has 3 layers and won't except water, it shoots right off, its very easy to remove if you apply it right

Re: Winter wax is on!

Here are pics of my Summit with Ultima Paint Guard applied 3 days ago since this picture. Mind you, this is a WOWA type sealant, meaning wipe on walk away, there is no buffing required. Takes 10-15 mins for the Summit and the water just runs off like crazy...

Re: Winter wax is on!

I live in Kuwait where we have about 8 months of summer. We tend to have an average of 40 degrees celcius. When it gets real hot it hits about 50 degrees celcius give and take a few.

Was wondering since you guys are quite informed regarding different kinds/brands of waxes, are there any that will fair best in such climate or will they all relatively be able to keep up with the heat?

I will hopefully be behind the wheel of my new 2011 WK2 Stone White Hemi overland on Sunday or Monday. I believe the Jeep will come waxed and detailed straight from the dealer. Though for future reference, I would like to know what would work best for my Jeeps colour and the climate I'm in. I tend to use Turtle wax on my Porsche (Blood Red in colour) all year round, as I seem to feel comfortable with it.

I want to give my Jeep's colour a glossy shine as I can only imagine how beautiful this colour would look after waxing and detailing. Any recommendations on the best wax considering the colour and the temperature?

I know it may sound silly but I feel that some kinds of waxes look better on certain kinds of colours. Some people here think I'm crazy and say "man it's just wax, doesn't matter what kind you use on what colour". I beg to differ, and from the readings here I feel that you guys might too.

Thanks!

If you want a wax I would get the Collinite #915 (in the picture). I have used a ton of Carnauba waxes and this one looks pretty good but protects like no other Carnauba wax I have seen(6 months). Many like Collinite 845 too. Just make sure what ever you do, wax in the shade. Autogeek has a great forum that I frequent. I suggest you go there and read and read and read some more. http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum/...tailing-forums
Here is a pic of a recent order of mine.

Turtle wax is one of the worst products on the market for waxes. All it does is put a layer on that beads water to make the appearance of protection, and the first time it rains its all gone. Please don't use turtle wax products
