lots of Prius cabs on the west coast of canada, I would've expected those in San Fran too.

So if it was a Laredo, then it'll be alright?

If you live in the city, you know that taxi company uses every car on the planet (not really but you know what I mean..)!! Have you seen the Aspens and 300s that they own???

Nice find, but I'm not in the least bit surprised.

Omar they use Benz and BMW in Europe b/c the E class/5 series are their crown vics! Most of the MB and BMW taxi cabs have cloth interior and other economical bits.

Yeah, only UAZ Hunters and maybe Yugos should be cabs. Except maybe these commie cabbies know about the 100% depreciation they get for the WK2s purchased between Sept and the end of last year.

why spend all the extra money on getting a fully loaded vehicle, when you could get the base model, with cloth seats, and a v6 for a lot cheaper, which saves on your expenses, which lowers the cost of the service you offer, which makes more people want to do business with you!

Re: WK2 Taxicabs - Hopefully Not a Trend! (Pics)

Oddly enough I rode in that cab four days ago. When I asked the driver how he ended up with an overland he said the owner just wanted his passenger to have a nice ride. I commend the guy. It's better than all the other filthy cabs in The City. He was so excited that he started passing people going up hills. Pretty impressive. Gotta love cabbies.
