That's it? Only 3 Kentucky peeps? Well I'll be up there exactly one week from today, and me and my new camera are gonna be on the lookout for some cool Jeeps.....and Durango's! Well...and regular horses of course...I mean that is the whole purpose of taking a horse loving daughter to horse country in the first place I suppose! :)

The youngster has a ridiculous list of what she wants to do and see. We couldn't finish this list in 2 months, let alone the week we'll be there! LOL!
We'll be staying just outside Lexington. Kinda central to all the horse stuff there and in Louisville. I'd have to consult the must do list to see what else is defiinite. Cumberland falls? That sound right? It's somewhere south I believe! Some Gorge..etc.etc.etc! She's a horse and nature lover, so we'll see what we can fit in. :D

im only about 20 minutes south of Lexington.

Cumberland Falls is in Corbin....just down I75 from me about 50 minutes....BEAUTIFUL! Maybe youll get to see a moonbow? Only one in the northern hemisphere.
Red River gorge is off I64 exit for campton/pine ridge. pristine forested area, rock climbing, hiking, kayaking, camping and some really nice cabins. Theres also the Natural Bridge and Sky Bridge. Natural stone formations that look like bridges. Nice hike too.

KY Horse park in Georgetown of course is awesome!

Then theres the Creation Museum in Florence. Awesome exibit with Dinosaurs etc etc.

Theres tons of stuff to do.....

Everything you mentioned is on the list. The falls should be first, next weekend, if weather is cooperative. Horse park, churchhill downs, and a few other horse things are very high up the list. We spent half of today perusing the aisles in Bass pro shops and some sports shops updating our hiking gear. Red river gorge area is a definite for the required hiking portion of the journey. There's a rainy day and a nice day list. Hopefully we can go a different direction each day. :)

She has AAA tour books, stacks of library books, tour guides from KY tourism, not to mention the email lists. The kids a planner.LOL!

Our last 3 trips were to TN because that list was too long for 1 week. We'll have to see how many trips it takes us to complete her Kentucky itinerary! :)
