Well I didn't have time to take my wife's 2012 grand Cherokee in for service. About 25,000 Kms on it. My wife books the appointment with Tower Chrysler. When she dropped it off she was told it would be $89.00 for the basic oil change etc.
When she picks it up she is given a bill for $926.81. WTF!!!
These guys serviced the front and rear differentials, transfer case and flushed and exchanged the brake fluid. I can't believe that a dealer is able to get away with this BS.
I was so pissed. Now I have to spend my time dealing with these ass wipes! I am sure I will get nothing out of it but want make sure no one else uses Tower Chrysler for service.
The service manager refunded us $600.00 which is the cost of the driveline service. That makes me feel a little better as we usually sell my wife's vehicles before we reach the mileage where this service is necessary.
The service manager was reasonable to deal with unlike the girl who was originally dealing with my wife.
I went to tower to test drive a 2011 wrangler a few years ago and the sales man was a close talker and a smoker and kept blowing smoke in my face so I just left. Went there on an impulse when driving by in 12/13 to test drive a Trailhawk. the salesman seemed nice but would not let me take it on the highway and the 1km city route that was allowed only had right hand turns! shocks me that they are still in business
I agree! I bought my 2002 Jeep Overland from Tower back in Dec 2001. They were a pretty good dealer back then with good service advisors, an excellent service manager, and good mechanics. Fast forward to 2014, and they are aweful! All female advisors who don't know anything, and a service department that only cares about ripping you off! My wife took the 02 Jeep in with a power steering pump problem, and $1300. later she got it back! WTF . . . I was overseas so I couldn't do anything! I will never go back to Tower and tell all my friend the same! They have the worst rating of all the Jeep dealerships in Alberta, and it shows! I highly recommend Courtesy Chrysler (in the Auto Mile SE) and advisor Joe. He will take of you!

I've dealt with Big 4, Renfrew, Courtesy... but I have to say, the new place SouthTrail has been by far the best. Maybe it's because they're new... but hopefully it sticks. Good people to deal with.
By law they are NOT allowed to do any service work UNLESS you have authorized it. If they did work without your ok , then it was not authorized work and you can tell them you will not pay that bill. If they put new parts on you can have them put the old stuff back on , although with fluids it is a little hard to put back, but you could take them to small claims and you would win as they would not be able to provide proof that you had authorized the work.
This was a typical scam where a woman brings in a vehicle hence they think that they know nothing about the vehicle and do work not authorized then just because a bill is presented that you will automatically pay it.
I got my 2011 GC at Tower and the service department was good. They have gone downhill, since the dealership was sold. I got my 2015 GC from South Trail Chrysler. Some of the Tower service staff are there. So far, it's been good.
I made a special trip down to South Trail just to check it out! I was impressed! It's a bit far, but quality service is always worth the drive! Time will tell . . .
