Re: MWP Ported Intake Manifold work

Here is another MWP Intake with alittle more work.
The customer wanted the exterior of the manifold sanded down so we can coat with a heat displacement coating then paint as well as the throat being ported to a 90mm TB.

Internal

And the throat

Will update once the coating is complete

Re: MWP Ported Intake Manifold work

Thanks for posting up pics...work looks good.

It is nice to see the end product of the port work. I know a lot of vendors do not post photos of this but it is very refreshing as it is nice to see what your hard earned dollars are going toward.

Re: MWP Ported Intake Manifold work

Thanks guys!
Wait for the end product with the coatings, the polished intake is getting the "works" on the coatings...thermal, astetic and internal slick coating.

Re: MWP Ported Intake Manifold work

maybe a stupid question but would doing this for a 3.7 provide noticable gains? is it even possible?

Re: MWP Ported Intake Manifold work

the 6.1L intake wont work. the 3.7 intake is composite or plastic, we dont port composites unfortunately.

I definitiely understood the 6.1L intake wont work but I was speaking more generally. Would porting the 3.7 intake produce noticable gains? I didnt know it was plastic or composit so I am assuming porting wouldnt be an option.

Thank you for your reply.

Thank you for your reply.
Porting IS an option, however gains/benefits are hard to say. There would be some gains for sure if there is some mismatch where the runners hook up to the intake ports.

Excellent work BTW- I assume most of this is being done by machine?
