why would they be out testing a limited...thats already been released to the public.....with camo on the complete front end, with what looks to be larger discs on the front and rear(possibly brembos), 20" SRT wheels, on a lowered suspension? Pretty simple in my book. Drivetrain, cooling testing while towing for an SRT Jeep!

I sure hope not. Fender vents have been dated for some time now...functional or not they are still ugly. Still not really feeling hot rod suvs though...the novelty wears off way too quickly, and I've owned both a 4.6is and an ML55. Slow by todays standards, but all they do is eliminate a good portion of the utility offered by an SUV.

Re: WK2: 2012 SRT8 Spy Shots

look at the first spy shot if the SRT (courtesy of Father Paul) it is a Laredo dressed up, the rear bumper, side skirts, the moldings, the window trim everything is different than the current SRT ... so that being said the new SRT is going to be completely different from what we see now and as Scott already pointed out the 20" rims the brembo brake kit, lowered etc etc

who knows what they have in store??? only Milous maybe able to shine some light on this matter (think it's about time we invest in to the Milous call sign)

In conclusion it's gonna be sick !!!

5.7 w/ QDII is the best all around package offered in an SUV today.. if the WK only had the ground clearance..

I'm not in love with the hemi, but its a pretty good truck engine. QDII is the best 4x system in its class, although the LR systems are pretty good as well. Wish it was possible to mix and match engines and drivetrains. I've love one of these with a new duramax diesel and QDII. At least ground clearance is an easy issue to rectify.

See...I think you may be looking at it the wrong way then. Hot Rod SUV's take the sports car and add in utility not found in a hot rod or sports car.
Which is some height for visibility, Space for kids and debris accompanied with such, plus luggage and tow. Try that in your hot rod or sports car!
And not to mention, try more of the hot rod side than what your used to (ML55 and 4.6is). Those are borderline at best.

Re: WK2: 2012 SRT8 Spy Shots

Looks GREAT imo!
One can only hope that low front spoiler is two piece and the lower lip is removable!.... 6.4L and 500HP would be a hell of a lotta fun on the hard packed beach around my home

Ride height detracts from the experience, as it raises the center of gravity. Other than towing, hot wagons have it all over them.

I'm OG kid, those were the first hot rod SUVs (not counting the GMC Typhoon) I have driven a Cayenne turbo, as well as the SRT8 and they are impressive, just not for me.
