Re: grill emblem

theres 2 kinds really....

theres the plastic versions ( charger, challenger ) that clips on to those specific kinds of grilles....

and theres the metal one with bolts to fasten it in place.

heres my standpoint on them though-

the metal one is smaller than the plastic version but the most ideal-- only cause of the ability to fasten it in with bolts and etc from behind the lower grille. it will be secure and no theres chance of it falling off anywhere.

the plastic one is bigger than the metal one. but it does not have the ability to bolt on like the smaller one though.... this is where i got fed up and made my own...

buy the bigger plastic version-
---Dremel off the plastic tabs from behind it, where its flat surface now...
---then take some bolts (x2) and place them facing up perpendicular to the flat surface..
---apply some epoxy underneath the bolts (make sure to get quick drying epoxy- i like to use clay epoxy cause you can play with it and mold it into the shape you would like. and its a lot less messy kind of epoxy.
---now that you have it dried. grab a flat piece of sheet metal (like the size of 35cent gum) or something similar thats smaller and thinner than the emblem it self.
---messure where the bolts touch the sheet metal, then drill out the holes.
---now you slide the sheet metal piece over the two bolts and apply some nuts to fastened it into place.

in order to install this new bolt on emblem..

you remove the upper grille and reach down and apply the backing to the emblem, throw on the two nuts and BAM. youre done.

Re: grill emblem

This is the one on mine. Bolted right on, been on a long time now with no problems. Couldn't be easier.

Re: grill emblem

there you go, shes got the smaller thin metal one i was referring to up there bro.

it has the bolts and etc already on it but like i mentioned it was small in terms of appearance - IMO. the plastic one is bolder and slightly bigger in all dimensions.

gl wither way bro-
