New powder

Went by the powder coat shop today to pick this up. Cleaned up nicely!

I also had the strut bar powder coated in red with flake to match.
Eventually I will get the manifold done in brilliant black and have everything back together.

Re: New powder

Thats pretty good, I wonder the guys process for that. As powder is pretty hard to get to stay put.

I wonder if he sprayed the black, cooked it, masked it, sprayed the red. Or vice versa.

Ive already got a blast cabinet, blast gun, and powder gun. I am going to start building my oven shortly. Then hopefully offer the forum a cheap coating option.

Depending on the pieces and there is a minimum of $100 just for firing up the oven. The CAI straight shot is 140...with design its 210

Base- Silver
Color- Red (Dormant)
Color- Red Flake
Masking for the flames
Color- Black
Satin and Clear to change the red dormant color
As far as the bake process goes I imagine it was red baked first then the black baked.

Good luck on the powder coating! I would like to get the stuff and mess with it. The guy that I use is getting a license to do powder on the handguns. Said that is big money!!!
