Re: Next project!!!

Maybe you can cover the 3'rd brake light and use a red LED strip in the new wing for a 3rd brake light. Something like these but red. Either 6" or 1' long.

Re: Next project!!!

Cool idea!

So, how are you going to attach this? I saw the one suggestion about using the rear glass bolts.

I guess I was curious if you were going to glass this to the vehicle or make it a separate, removable piece...?

I like it now where thinking!!! That would be hot.
I would have to find a way to get the wires out of it and cover it but ensure it's water tight. This is something I'll have to look into also.
Any ideas!! I don't want this to be 1,000 wing the more complex it gets the higher the production cost.

Removable. If it's not attached to the bolts it will be double sided tape. I think other wings are attached that way. This will be most user friendly and keep cost down.

Absolutely! I didn't know this was going to be a one-off or a production project.

Re: Next project!!!

It would be cool if you could use the glass mounts and have the wing set just above the rear hatch(1/2 inch or so). That way you can keep factory 3rd brake light.

Yeah I hear ya. It would be cool as hell to be the only person with the venom hood or the only person with a custom rear wing - definitely makes your truck unique and no other SRT8 in the world will look like yours.

But on the other hand, if you can make the products available to the rest of the community, that's a satisfying feeling as well.

Re: Next project!!!

I think this could work. I'm trying to visualize in my head what it could possibly look like. I like the idea and I think you are heading in the right direction.

Kudos to you for making the hood and helping the jeep community. I believe a "wing" will really pop on our jeeps as long as it is not too big.
