they are six spoke rims which do not counter the weight of the car accordingly ... with the stock shitty suspension of non-srt wk's those would have made it worse ...
thank God they went with the rims they have now ...
you know the saying the grass is greener on the other side, if they had used the rims shown above for the srt8 and this thread was posting a pic of the current srt8 rims then people would be like "Oh bro check that out it's sweet" looool
i saw the new corvettes last night at a car dealer when driving by. They have the same type of rim except it is a 5 spoke. Anyone seen these on the corvettes?
Euro rims and 245/45 ZR20 tire work better on strips as slippery as a carwash or average prepped with minimum VP LC glue.
I run consistently 12.1s - 12.2s @ 189 kmh with one of my SRT’s………1.69 to 1.72 60’ STOCK engine !!!! Only a ZEX kit spraying .26 fuel pill, .54 NOS pill…..meaning about 80 to 90HP, few more minor parts (CAI, exhaust..) and some fine tuning with Diablosport running on VP Racing MS109 unleaded.
The smaller rim and smaller tire (and lighter) helps achieving higher Top Speeds at the quartermile.
