Nitto 420's are not offered in 275/315, only stock sizes.

Re: Tires

Even if the Nitto 420s were in a 275/315.....the tread pattern of a Toyo Proxes STII will be superior in the snow.

Not sure on where exactly to rate the Continental DWS.....based on tread pattern I would guess somewhere between the Nitto 420 and Toyo. At least in self cleaning ability in the snow.

Re: Tires

The Continental DWS's got rated super high for a UHP all season by Tire Rack in their winter tire review. Everywhere I have read, they get rave reviews for snow traction.

im running the proxes stII and so far i love them.....i wont be using them in the winter however, they tend to be kinda noisey on certain roads

Yep, I was very tempted to get them based on reviews.

Main reason I didn't was due to the high treadwear. Was worried it may be a little too hard and not grip as well as I would like on dry pavement under hard cornering.
