Winter Thinking: Run Flat Snow tires

thinking since ill have my grey reps put on very soon. im going to have my current BullcrapGY's run flats put on the grey reps until it snows...

until then ive been looking at all kinds of tires for snow traveling in the SRT8-

im thinking of entertaining a set of run flat snow tires for the beast despite the steep price range. ive decided to give this a shot and wing it out for a change.

i thought id ask for any suggestions- (doesnt matter if they are expensive**)

i was also would take suggestions on regular snow tires too, since im going to buy a spare 20x9 wheel down the road eventually.

cheers fellas-

veyronsrt8 from the red site lives here in CO. im at about 5200 ft he lives in castle rock about 6K ft. he gets much more snow than I. he was running Pirelli Ice and Snow tires in a 255/50 all around on a srt8. he said he had no issues. the skinnier footprint combined with the tires and he was off to the races.

Re: Winter Thinking: Run Flat Snow tires

For run-flats I know Pirelli and Blizzak make some run-flat snow and ice tires.

For a non run-flat, I have heard very good things about the winter tires that Vredestein offers.

Re: Winter Thinking: Run Flat Snow tires

yeah was leaning on blizzaks cause my boy who works at the tire shop recommended them off the bat for snow and ice usage, more so than pirelli. however ive had and still have snow and ice pirelli's on my ZJ- handles excellent in snow but then again those are not a 20 inch tire. hahha

cheers dc and rob

take any other suggestions too-

Re: Winter Thinking: Run Flat Snow tires

I friend of mine used to have the Blizzaks and tried Vredestein winter tires and said that the Vredesteins were a better tire in the snow....said "they kicked ass". LOL
