Re: 06 Laredo=Srt Clone

I like everything you did EXCEPT for the HEMI Badges on the fenders. Real SRTs did not have those and to me it will be embarassing when you go to open the hood and its not a hemi but it says hemi. Just my opinion not meant to offend.

BUT i Love how you did the SRT Design logo on the back instead of the srt8 logo. If someone gave you crap you can say it is srt design but not a real srt8. I think thats a nice touch.

I love the jeep other wise.

Re: 06 Laredo=Srt Clone

Haha yea I agree and no it doesnt offend me but since my fiancee decided to buy them for me I had to put them somewhere. Happy Wife=Happy Life. If i take them off I can just hear her now, "Wheres the stickers I bought you...You didnt like them?"

Re: 06 Laredo=Srt Clone

Gotcha, I deff understand that one. My wife would be the same way. One last thing to finish it off would be teh commander or SRT air bag and steering wheel.

I have contemplated adding it so many times but 2 things have me hesitant... 1 of them being horrified of tampering with the airbags in this thing... I have had so much trouble with getting the set seats to work with my airbag system that has ruined my confidence... Second thing is I feel like the steering wheel should be grey since nothing is black in my jeep

Re: 06 Laredo=Srt Clone

I can understand the worries of changing the air bag. But if you pull the fuse you will be fine. Ive changed at least 3 in different jeeps. Also, Scottina06 did the same interior to his laredo and he found a steering wheel and air bag that matched the color. I think its the same color. Id also ask him about his professional opinion/how to change the air bag.

In my 98 cherokee, it was simple, pull fuse, 2 screws, one plug and vise versa to install. I changed from the ugly 98 cherokee circle air bag to the nice smooth air bag to an 04 Wrangler 4 spoke steering wheel and air bag. removed my friends 01 cherokee air bag to paint and re install and when i sold my 98, removed the wrangler air bag and put the stock back in, swapped the wrangler air bag and wheel to a friends jeep. ive also changed numerous steering columns w/o issues.

Yep did everything myself

You are right about srt design 300s but there are no srt design jeeps.

Re: 06 Laredo=Srt Clone

Looks excellent man!

As for the steering wheel I plan on going with the 2012 SRT8 steering wheel. It looks insane and has paddle shifters!
