It has been quite some time since my last post, but it can all be blamed on the weather. I hibernate most of the winter... Aside from that, a few things have been done to the WK. For starters, I will start off by saying I will no longer buy aftermarket replacement parts. Here is why:
I recently was driving my Jeep fine one winter day. The next morning upon startup, the Jeep would not shift into any gear. I was getting a CEL with the code P0944: Loss of hydraulic pump prime. If you go back in this thread, I recently replaced my trans filters this past summer with Crown Automotive filters. The problem was the Jeep had to redesign the filters due to them often cracking internally. Crown Automotive must not have been aware of this updated design. Two Mopar filters, a gasket, and nine quarts of Royal Purple ATF later, I had the Jeep running perfectly again.
Not only that, but last winter I had to replace my engine oil pressure sensor which I replaced with a Crown Automotive unit. With the temperatures low, the Crown unit cracked under the higher crankcase pressures.
Thus replaced with a Mopar unit.
I will end this rant there and wish all a great day! :cheers2:
