just a word to the wise... as I told my son, always let the ol' lady drive the nice car/suv/truck, then all is good in the universe...

I want to just say that its nice to see this kinda work from a young man; its rare. not only that you are thorough and most likely have a slight case of OCD. which is good by the way. just like my son, got to have his s*** tight and ready to roll!

and when it comes to guns, things w/ wheels, and his girl, hes nuts!

I'm that transparent, huh!? Haha, I definitely have a case of OCD with anything that has my name on it. When it comes to my Jeep, I'll spend hours on something little.

I really appreciate it though, I take a ton of pride in all of the work and don't plan on stopping. That tool box is CLEAN too, can't say mine is always that nice!

What kind of gun does he/you guys like shooting? I just got my first bolt action last April and it's quickly becoming one of my favorite things to do!

Re: A Teen at Work!

I think I have mentioned that I will be Monstalining my Jeep soon. Doing so, I thought it would be appropriate to rid my Jeep of the color red that I am currently using as an accent color. To do this, I used Dupli-Color paints. I started off by sanding the intake tube flat because it was a textured plastic. It also had a seam through the middle that had to be flattened. So, I used a low grit to get rid of it and ended up sanding it with 600 grit last to make it smooth. Then I used Dupli-Color's filler/primer, then sanded that after with 1,000 grit. Then I used their series of metallic paints followed by their Clear Effex clear coat to add some green and red metallic flakes. Went from 1,000 to 2,500 grit after the clear dried and then polished it! I'll be doing this for everything else that is red!

Damn! That's some collection you have going! My collection just started. My dad got a Browning BLR lever action at the same time as I did. I'm in NJ, but we go shooting in PA to shoot the rifles of course. We also have a few shotguns, but I'm looking to start an AR build. I can definitely learn something from you guys!

Re: A Teen at Work!

I recently noticed that my differential had fluid all over it, so I suspected the axle seal was leaking. Again, I replaced it with an aftermarket brand when I replaced my CV axle, so it was the weakest link. Just like what I did with my oil pressure sensor, I went to my Mopar dealer five minutes away and they were able to price match a new axle seal with one I found online! I also went ahead and ordered Amsoil Severe Gear 75W-140 for the diff. I do a lot of forum reading and found this to be a highly recommended product. In the process, I made a video on how to service the front diff our our Jeeps, or the Chrysler 200mm in general!

Re: A Teen at Work!

I basically covered all bases here with social media. I just made a Facebook page so I have all the projects and mods I am working on in one place without posting them in a bunch of groups and whatnot. I also made an Instagram to post all of the edited, high quality pictures that I take with my Canon! Those along with the YouTube channel complete it! Come check things out!

Re: A Teen at Work!

Hey guys! It's been a while, but I got around to getting some work done to the WK. I have had the Dynamat Hoodliner sitting around since December; it is basically an insulating acoustic dampening pad that goes beneath your hood. I installed it with extra Dynamat Xtreme underneath it as you'll see. More information on how I installed it can be seen in the video attached to my channel. I haven't had much time to test it, but I will update accordingly!

Re: A Teen at Work!

I got really sick of the lack of options that the old Superchips tuner had, so with the upcoming plans that I have for my Jeep, I bought a DiabloSport Trinity T1000 tuner. This thing is solid with so many adjustable parameters and the obvious fact that it can hold downloaded tunes. This with the new cam and headers should make a pretty solid match!
