Thumbs up Re: A Teen at Work!

Nice work on all your mods. I have a lot of respect for a person your age putting forth this type of effort on your ride. Shows a lot maturity and motivation. Lot of kids out there could learn from you. Didn't mean to go off topic, just really impressed.

I really appreciate this guys. It means more to me than you may think to me and I'll definitely be taking it as more motivation to keep up the work.

Re: A Teen at Work!

You, my friend, are quite impressive. Wish all 17 year olds had your ambition and were as articulate as you are. And... you do very nice work! Your ride looks awesome. What a transformation since you started- great work! Enjoy.

Thank you so much. I'll keep it up, I have some really long term plans for my WK and I don't plan on slowing down!

The best Hemi is a clean Hemi.

Oh, and I got Mopar badges for the sides of my car... Just as the Aspen Creek decal, I'm not sure how I feel about it.

I'll let it sit there for a week at most. I'll know how I feel by then.

Re: A Teen at Work!

Here's an update since it has been a while:

I have been away quite often recently for hockey playing along the East coast. Because of that, I have not been able to do too much. Today while I had time in between games, I started the process of painting my wheels satin black. I have one done so far, which is awesome because I now have to drive to school with one black wheel. Aside from that, I am extremely happy with they way it came out.

I'll be able to finish the other three tomorrow after school and I will do more of a writeup on that then. I just thought a sneak peak of one would do for now!

Re: A Teen at Work!

I got to finishing all of the wheels yesterday after about three more hours of working on them. I really love the way they look, I just have a concern with the durability of them. I chipped a very small area around the lugs when putting one of the wheels on, so I am going to apply another coat, or two, of clear coat when I get my new lug nuts. Anyway, here is what I used and how it came out:

-Rustoleum Self Etching Primer.
-Rustoleum High Performance Wheel.
-Rustoleum Matte Clear.

Re: A Teen at Work!

I had a pair of Oracle SMD strips sitting around for awhile now, so I thought today would be a good day to install them. I went to my local auto store and purchased a fuse tap and some fuses. Then I simply routed the wires to the fuse panel under the dash and connected the fuse tap to an unused fuse slot. The only problem I had was with the adhesive backing, which came off upon peeling the backing off. So I still have to run out sometime and pick up stronger double sided tape. Aside from that, everything went really well and the lights turned out awesome! I still have yet to install the switch kit for them, I am just deciding if I want to wire them to my dome lights or just have the switch.

I still have to clean up the wires a bit on the driver's side.
