FINALLY!!! got my ome hd lift installed!

what should have taken 4-6 hrs ended up taking 2.5 days! lol...so many stupid hang ups. but it's done now and i am thrilled with the results!

sorry for the crappy cell phone pics...but i will have much better ones after bantam jeep fest next weekend!

time for some bigger tires! 285's coming next...after these 255's wear down, almost there.

Re: "BlackedOutWK" Build Thread

^^measurements before and after would be great.

That OME looks awesome though!
Also, so you modified the rear by putting the original daystar spacer in there?? going to add a strut spacer to boost the front up at all?
I also like the 30% tint you have.. debating wether to go 20% or 30% on my fronts..

i didnt bother with before measurements since it was sagging with my daystar lift and stock springs/shocks/struts but after install i was at 24" all around (which is what you see in the above pics), got it aligned lastnight and took new measurements, i am now at 22" up front and 23" in the rear which is exactly what i was looking for. i have strut spacers for up front but decided not to use them. i am happy with how it's sitting now so im just going to sell the strut spacers.

as far as tint, i would go with 20%, the 30% looks good most of the time but in certain light it drives me crazy seeing the difference between the the front and back windows.

Sweet deal. I'm waiting on money from an insurance decutible to come in, but was thinking of using that to go towards WK Bilsteins all around and strut spacers up front to go with my Daystar BB (I'm on stock shocks/struts right now)... and also a front window tint. In hindsight, I should have saved more and went with the OME..but I went Daystar for money reasons and its better to just get some Bilsteins now instead of spending all the extra on OME.(even though its better)

PS.How much you looking to get for the strut spacers?

i've never heard anyone complain about their bilseins before so you should be happy with that set up. i would not advise running a spacer on top of your daystar. anyone that has ever attempted to stack a spacer lift has had nothing but problems.

they are spoken for already with another guy in line but if they both fall through $25.

Looks sick!! Very clean and in my opinion factory look. You should think about painting your calipers yellow to match te rear ome shocks... Thinking about doing this same setup on my black wk as well.

Re: "BlackedOutWK" Build Thread

What do you think about the ride with the OME kit so far? How much stiffer than a stock suspension would you say it is?

Re: "BlackedOutWK" Build Thread

i like it! it's much stiffer, rides like a jeep now lol. the only complaint i have so far is it makes things rattle inside the jeep a lot more since it's so stiff. went off road with the new lift for the first time over the weekend and it did amazing, no problems at all, flexed nicely, and got me through and over the fun stuff.
