The ones your friends buy?

Suspect everybody has at least one of those type of friend... but you tolerate them anyway.

Yep.
Everyone has some idea we might disagree with. Not worth trashing a friendship over.

Two years ago at Carlisle, the guy parked next to me was very proud of his black Liberty, and especially proud of his red caliper covers. Luckily my brain intervened before I said "they look like you cut them out of a cereal box and glued them on"

We had several good conversations over the course of the weekend. Just not about caliper covers.

Caliber covers look good or tacky??

What would you use to paint them black or silver so they look cleaned up?

I'd be curious to see how that flat black, high temp paint for cast iron wood stoves would work. I've used it before on stoves... the coverage is fantastic, dries quickly to a really nice finish and very little prep was required prior to painting.

I'd be inclined to agree that something like the Rustoleum specialty auto paints might be good. The calipers should never get hot enough to need it, but I've had pretty good luck with rustoleum sticking better than duplicolor brand.

Re: Caliber covers look good or tacky??

I got mine painted- I was thinking yellow but in the end I went with red- at first I was nearly didn't as I was worried what others may think but I bit the bullet and I LOVE them. I also plasti dipped my chrome emblems red too so it all ties in- and makes me look a little different from everyone else.
