Re: Caliber covers look good or tacky??

Please no.
I'd consider the addition of a fake big brake kit almost as bad as chrome spinners.

I wonder if you could paint the covers that are there, carefully.

Re: Caliber covers look good or tacky??

painting the calipers themselves is not all that hard. I did the calipers on my 07 during the last brake job, and while I chose black because I'm not an in-your-face kind of guy, red etc are certainly available..

It's horrible. Paint your factory calipers if you want, but I even think that tends to look silly. Brembos look good colored because they are big and finished properly, I never understood people painting dinky factory calipers red to pass them off as sport brakes or something. I have nothing against painting them black or even silver so they look clean though.

Thats sorta what I would do--use paint to make the factory color look better. Has the advantage that it would not be as noticeable if you match the color well.

The caliper covers I've seen do just truly look lame In My Non-Humble Opinion.

However, I am not everybody, nor do I play such on TV. Should someone decide that Passionate Puce caliper covers are exactly what their vehicle needs for a touch of exclusivity, more power to them.

Re: Caliber covers look good or tacky??

To me, caliper covers look like KMart cool.

But some very good friends like them and even have them on their vehicles, some of which vehicles are way more awesome than any of my vehicles will ever be.. and I'm OK with that.

as the above poster said, it comes down to what works for you.

Just curious, what type of awesome vehicle requires caliper covers?
