Clean Cherokee

I finally decided to take a stab at cleaning the engine bay of my jeep. Its 11 years old and is almost at 200,000 miles. The engine bay has NEVER been cleaned before. I used simple green and the misting option on the hose. I didn't scrub any part of the engine, I didn't shiine up the plastic, I only spent about 30 minutes working on it. Here are some pics:

Before and after pics:

Re: Clean Cherokee

If you look at the after part of the hood you will see how bad it has been burned over the years. I think what I will try and do next time is actually scrub in and around the engine and use some shining stuff for the hoses and plastic. Here is the jeep all cleaned up:

Thanks Scott. Are there any particular good brushes or other cleaners that would help clean up my engine bay further?

Re: Clean Cherokee

Prety good! That's what I did for my Jeep. I bought a brush from Wal-Mart. It's very soft and it's pretty good. I'm going to buy some more brushes for hard-to-reach areas.
