Good point as I just got Corsa exhaust yesterday and looks the same as what you show on post #19 here.

Even says Corsa on the tips in your photo?

I love the build, I like some of the engine things you done, but the UD 20% pulley what is this and does it give you good hp and easy to install ?

Thanks

Thx. Very simple, one of the definitive purposes of an underdrive pulley is to reduce the parasitic drag from the components that run off the crank by decreasing the crank pulley size. Which in turn causes the other pulleys to turn slower, reducing drag. Which overall should = to a faster acceleration time.(someone please correct me if im wrong)

Also, I believe the 20 percent comes from the reduction in the size of the stock pulley that is being replaced.

Re: Combats Build Thread

How did you get the srt8 mid pipes to fit? Did you have to lower the trans cross member at all? Does it rub your tranny pan at all? I'm wondering if you lowered your stock jeep to the srt8 riding height if it changed the trajectory of your mids and allowed the srt8 pipes to fit better. I have them also and cannot for the life of me get them to fit worth a damn.

all lowering it would effect is the over the rear axle clearance. the mids wouldn't be altered. have you checked your motor mounts to be sure they are ok?

Re: Combats Build Thread

I guess I should check the motor mounts... Although Viking had the same issues as me. I just realized, combat has the 2wd grand cherokee, the tranny pan is much different. And probably the tranny cross member is different also.

Re: Combats Build Thread

Just wanted to update my thread....

Ordered and installed 5 inch QuickTips from Brian Quick.

Personally I think they look and sound great, a much better fit than the corsa tips I had since they fill in some of the gaps surrounding the smaller tips around the exit.

Re: Combats Build Thread

Stupid Stock Trans took a dump on me; however, no worries.

Coming in 2 weeks,

Ordered:Stage 3 SharDon Transmission " All the Bells and Whistles", custom trans tune, and a 2800 Stall converter.

Ordered: Black Ops Paramedic Hood

Haven't ordered yet: Brembo Big Brake conversion(If I can get them for the right price)

Stay Tuned over the next month for pictures and some video of installation.........
