Re: Coops "Silver Surfer" Build Thread

Looking good Coop! Congrats on the D2s! I agree with everyone else about leaving the sides off the Matrix, but I think you already know where I stand

I finally took some night pics of all my lights!!! I will make a thread about it in a little bit.

Re: Coops "Silver Surfer" Build Thread

Not sure Bud. I will probably be heading up to my Dad's for Thanksgiving and/or Christmas. It would work better for me to take advantage of already being up in that area. The next couple months will be tight for me, so we will see what I can do. Once you get the rest of your armor you need to come down here so we can go hit Pancake Rock or Corral Canyon! That will be some good wheeling!

Sounds good. I'm due for a SD trip. Got my rear guard 2 (installing this week) and just got some bwoody end links. Armoring up!

Did you get the Belly guard yet? If not that should be #1 on your list!

Not yet but, it is #1 on the list. Saving some extra cheese for it. Gonna get it ASAP.

Re: Coops "Silver Surfer" Build Thread

Good! IMO that is the most important piece! When do you think you will have it? I don't recommend coming down here until you do. At the places mentioned above it will be much needed.

Re: Coops "Silver Surfer" Build Thread

As nice as they are to have, it is much easier to see if you will hit. Then you can correct your position so you don't hit. The belly is different, you either have to have a spotter keeping an eye on it for you or you have to get out and look every time you think you are close to hitting. Don't get me wrong, the rails are great to have! It is just easier to wheel without them than the belly. I LOVE being fully armored! I can go over just about anything without worrying about damage. As you saw at Rowher!

Did you check out those night shots?

Ya that's what I figured. I'll def get it soon. Couple weeks. Just finished my rear lights wiring so I'll check now.

Here is a quick snapshot of the lights at 1:55pm! I'll get some night shots later. Can't wait to see when I back up. Lol

Re: Coops "Silver Surfer" Build Thread

Are those the spot pattern? If so you could try giving the lenses a slight sand to defuse the light. Or you could give Rigid a call and see if they will sell you defused lens.

That's exactly what I as thinkin (calling them) should be too much, right?!

I'll see when it's really dark. Better than nothing for now I guess. If no new lens then I'll sand or trade em!

Good call brother, thanks!
