Alright guys, been holding off on this for a while, but now that my new tires just came in, and the bilstein hd's and RR 2 inch lift will be here tomorrow, I figured its time to make one!
10/23/2010- I traded in my 2006 Acura TL on the Jeep.
I loved the Acura, it was an awesome car, but it became apparent that as I got older it was completely impracticable for where I live, I loved the look of the jeeps, and needed the 4X4.
So I searched and searched, almost pulled the trigger on a very clean, silver 2007 3.7L WK. But found the black V8 I wanted!
That a pic of a pic of the dealer site, best I could find, I traded the Acura and got the jeep, and a check for 5 grand cause the value of the Acura was alot higher then a V8 WK during the height of gas prices.
The day I got her home, in the driveway, still a virgin, getting her seats shampooed!
So after that I didnt do much for a while, did not take a whole lot of pics either but heres what iv got. First thing I did was (stupidly) put my old KC Daylighters on the front bumper. Liked it at the time, now I think im an idiot, but whatever. Next I got the front windows tinted to match the rears, and then got a set of used 255/70/17 tires to get me through the winter.
Then I put my blue LED dash lights from the acura in it. I am a voulentter fire fighter for the township I live in, at the time they were just in a stupid cig lighter power splitter, to be hardwired in the future (more on that later).
Then I got a GPS from work, I worked at best buy at the time and got a great deal on a 7inch Magellan GPS with audio video inputs, so I also added a rear view cam.
Then I wired my scanner into the jeep on switched power, and an aftermarket XM radio that I got through bestbuy as a free item for employees.
These are some pics of here as it stood in the spring of 2011...
So between those pics, and the next ones, I painted all of the faded black plastic on the exterior of the car, it is one of the best mods iv done yet, made it look SO much cleaner without gray nasty plastic everywhere.
My next project was to install two switches, one for the blue LED dash lights, and one for my scanner and radar detector.
Those are the most complete pics I have of the switches, obviously the wiring is hidden and hooked up now!
Then my HID fogs came in, I went with a 3k 55Watt kit, next are a few pics of the light output with different light settings, they obviously dont show the real output, but give an idea. The things are brighter then my headlights.
So after that I decided to upgrade all my interior lights with VLED l.e.d bulbs.
