Re: Daniel's '15 JGC SRT Build <Pic Heavy>

Installed the Mac Tie Down rails today. Absolutely awesome and will never have to worry about shifting cargo again!

Definitely should have been a factory option!

(Sorry for the crappy pics and dirty carpet!)

Re: Daniel's '15 JGC SRT Build <Pic Heavy>

What an awesome ride...like your style! I will be watching this thread clearly as I like your taste in mods. Cheers!!

Can you post the part numbers of the exterior led bulbs you bought? Interior? I have swapped out the front floors and half the overhead domes...what company did you go with? Thanks for your help in advance...I also need to change out my rear jeep emblem to black. That was easy to do? Was told it's just two sided tape and two fasteners with no nuts/bolts

I still have to get the Chrome around the windows vinyl wrapped… Soon I hope.

*** Stopping here I know I am going to get beat up for both the above Wheel Cap swap and the next mod I am about to list… First, I would have loved to have kept the “SRT” wheel caps, but I really did not like the CHROME. If they ever come out with Gloss Black or Black Chrome SRT caps, I will be all over it.

Next, I swapped out the RED Push to start button.. Yeah, I know, Its an SRT, but I REALLY think it stood out too much next to the overall very classy interior. To each their own right?

Shortly thereafter I went ahead and installed all kinds of under hood Billet Goodies:

As well as my custom made rebadge 392 Engine Covers:

Also got my CustomTronix In Motion Software installed (Front Cam will be going in soon as well).

I then proceeded to swap out the nipple on the factory Oil Cooler:

Why you ask? It changes the filters I can use....

Why did I care? Two reasons. #1. I am not sure on the exact year but a few years ago Chrysler changed the threads, effectively changing the part # of the oil filter used. Prior to this change, you had options on the SIZE of the oil filter you wanted to use all the way up to one that housed a full quart. You could buy this from MOPAR OR from Mobil 1 the part # was M1-301….

I LIKE LARGE FILTERS…

#2. I Still have my Magnum, My Uncle bought our old 2006 300 SRT and I have a few buddies with Chargers. We regularly go in and buy filters (M1-301) in bulk to save us all money.

And last but not least, this last weekend I got the Rear Eibach ProKit springs installed, accomplishing my goal of leveling it out.

Oh and for the record, not only have I been modding it, but also we have been driving it. Just over 8200 miles on the clock!

Well, I think that's it for now, Much more to come I am sure. Thanks for looking!

How is the ride on the eibachs, any change from stock? This is exactly the look im going for. I would love the RM mids but just too much with stock wheels. Been looking for someone that did this. Thanks and nice mods!

Re: Daniel's '15 JGC SRT Build <Pic Heavy>

And did you have your chrome grille rings and lowers painted or purchase PX8 OEM ones? Can you let me know the cost? Thanks in advance...after reviewing your thread, you and I have VERY similar tastes!

I did respond in the other "Best Mod" thread with more detail. In summary, the ride is awesome, very little to no change for day to day driving, only when pushing it hard is it noticeable and for me that is when I DO want it to be firmer.

Thanks for the kudos!

Unfortunately I do not have the part #s handy but I bought everything from:
VLeds.com

Sorry not more help here, I am sure if you contact them they could provide recommendations or other threads here may have more info. Truth is I bought all of the LEDs back when we first got the 2012 so it's been a while.

Yes the Rear Jeep Emblem is just double sided tape, that's it. Bit of a pain to get it started since it is inset but no real issue over all.

I went with the Vapor Model (PX8) ones...

Part numbers in the other thread I created: 2015 WK2 SRT Red Vapor Edition - Part #s

I paid $170 or so for the upper rings (complete set) & about $120 EACH for the lower two. Stupid Expensive but hoped they would hold up better. So Far So Good.

Not stupid, very good point

I had seen some videos that showed it didn't work well but figured it was better than nothing. It alone wont get through the laminate but can crack it and make it easier to kick out. It also has a seat belt cutter.

Its all a long shot but it makes the wife feel better on the road.

If nothing else we will have it should we need it to help others.

Sorry I missed this.

Part #203-430-00-84

Its a Mercedes Part. Exact Match. It will require some trimming on the back to make it fit, not hard though, pair of scissors or diagonal cutters and trim it to match the black rubber one that comes off.

Once on you will not see any of the trimming at all.
