I've gotta get a new bumper anyways, I'm going to try and get one that's precut but if I can't, I'll just cut it myself. I have to wiring harness and everything as well as the hitch receiver and I suck at wiring things so I may end up taking it to the dealership to have it installed so I don't screw it up.

Re: GCLTD10's Build Thread

I just ordered myself a Rola yesterday, it should be coming in next week sometime. I'll post pics of it once it gets here and I have it installed. I'm pretty excited!

Re: GCLTD10's Build Thread

Well the jeep is in the shop until tomorrow hopefully. Getting the new bumper cover with the cutout for the hitch receiver to go. I'm very nervous about installing the wiring harness myself as for the fact that I'm not very experienced when it comes to wiring things. Anybody have any suggestions

My rack is being delivered today! I'll make sure to post some pics of before and after and of the hitch and receiver all wired up

Alrighty! So I ordered my ROLA Vortex Cargo Basket from CARi.d. A week from this past Saturday and it took a while to ship. I got impatient but it finally came!

My first opinion after I got it out of the box was that it's a lot lighter than I expected, until you get it on top of the jeep.

Here were some pics of it before I assembled it.

After I got the hardware together....

This is after I had it assembled.

Now, I know this post is lacking something, and it's the finished and completed pictures of it mounted. I was in a hurry to get to work yesterday and didn't get a chance to get any pictures of it when it was mounted. So I will add some after I'm out of class this afternoon.

My overall opinion on the rack is that it's nice and very sturdy. However I do have one problem, in the directions it says to set your factory crossbars to one of the 4 different distances apart to line up with the rack. It was based on the distance "center to center" between the factory cross rails. On my 2010 Limited WK, my factory cross rails don't line up with the slots on the rack. I can align the front or back attachment point of the rack correctly, but I cannot line up both. My cross rails only lock into the roof rails at certain points and my cross rails won't go far enough apart to completely line up with the rack. I'm literally Ike 1/2 inch off on the front and the back. Any suggestions on this?
