So its been a year since I bought my WK and sold the WJ. I was shopping around for the JEEP SRT8, but I found this WK at a price that I couldn't refuse. My plan was/is to convert this WK into a White Jeep SRT Clone. So far, I have put a good amount of work and it is looking pretty good. I get a lot of compliments, people just stare at the car as i am passing by. I have a lot of pictures, some are good (dig. cam.) and some are not that good, but not bad (cam. phone).

Information about the JEEP:
Year: 2009
Make: Jeep
Model: Grand Cherokee Limited
Color: Stone White

Lets get started on the pictures and Ill try to put them step by step, from the day I got it.

The 1st day that I got the JEEP.

Parked in the Driveway.

My WJ and WK just hanging out together.

This is my 2 tone interior.

I hate that fishing pole antenna, so I ordered a 3" shorty antenna from ebay. Let me tell you, same quality signal for the radio, but a much better look.

Decided to PlastiDip all the chrome badges/emblems just to see how it will look.

Taped everything off and started dipping.

The result. Came out pretty good. Black on White theme.

Started ordering parts.
HID from v-leds.com 8000K low/fog
Sylvania Silverstar Chrome 3157 bulbs (blends right in, in the headlights and gets rid of the orange/amber turn signal
SRT8 Roof Rails
WeatherTech front/rear Window Visors
WeatherTech front/rear floor mats

Here are the SRT Roof rails and Window Visors that I purchased from 2 members from JG

Installing HIDs in fogs, 1 HID vs 1 Stock. How much of a difference does it make.

Parked in the school's garage, only fogs and parking lights are on.

I decided to tint the car. Went with 20% on the front windows to match the rear.

Just some random pictures.

Ordered 22" Gloss Black SRT reps wrapped in NITTO NT420s 265/40/22 from factory reproductions

And the rims are on. The car looks completely different with the 22s. I love it

SRT Bumpers got dropped off at my body shop and I came back a week later for the installation.

Brilliant Black SRT grill is on. Looks good =]

Getting ready to install the SRT exhaust

Just chilling in the rain

Just a short video of how my custom SRT exhaust sounds on a V6 3.7l (cold start up)

I was bored 1 day, got a piece of scotch print 3M carbon fiber vinyl and wrapped my FOB key =]

Installed the front bumper lower grill and SRT badge

Installed LED reverse bulbs

Before

1 LED vs 1 Stock

After

Ill get better/night pictures later on tonight.

Just some random photos.

Some shots from Saturday's Meet 9/29/12

Thank you bro. still have a lot of plans for the car. Being on this forum almost 24/7 and seeing a lot of sick jeeps over here, gives me ideas on the next mods and then my pocket starts crying =]

looks good Aslan!
how do you like the K&N? im deciding between that and the Airraid for the future.

I like it, but I was expecting a little more from it. After the installation, I was expecting a nice sound from it, that is why I got the 77 series (metal piping instead of plastic), but unfortunately no sound at all. I dont know how the other intakes sound on a 3.7, if they even make any sound. I have a couple of friends with Infiniti G37/FX37 (3.7 l engines) Lexus GS350 (3.5l engine) that have 77 KnN intakes on their cars and they sound like a beast.

Thank you Paul.

Thank you machina. I want to get a set of 20s and use them as a winter set + I want to see how much of a difference in ride comfort and handling is between 22s and 20s. Im still missing srt side skirts but I need the rims first "/ also you never know how the winter in NYC is going to be like, last year = crazy snow storm and this year = barely any snow at all.

really nice build, itsajeepthing!
Might I suggest painting the rest of your mirrors to color match the white... I think it would look awesome.

What part of BK are you from?
My parents and grandparents were born and raised in BK. I grew up in SI.

I hope we get a good winter this year, as in snow! We barely got anything here in PA too... I bought my jeep last October, a few months after I moved out here, and we only got that one Halloween storm. Figures. haha

Good luck with the rest of the build!

Thank you bro. I might consider it as one of my future mods.
I am from bensonhurst. Thats nice, what park of bk are your parents and grandparents from?
I am not too much of a snow fan. It gets crazy here in nyc. All these garbage trucks plowing snow, too much salt and then we get huge potholes after every winter. I was thinking of maybe buying a lifted wrangler and just drive through all the snow "mountains" lol. + you can make a decent amount of $ in the winter, pulling out people's cars that got stuck.

My family grew up in Bay Ridge. Still have some family out there. You're def. right about snow being a pain in NYC.. it was more like grey slush that would be pushed up to the doors onto the side of cars. lol
Sorry to see that dent, that sucks.. I know it could happen anywhere, but little things like that make me glad that I moved out here.

Good luck with the fix and the lowering. looking forward to the pics.

So I come home from work and I have a surprise waiting for me. Mr. Mailman left a nice package at my house. A set of Eibach lowering springs, Eibach t-shirt, Eibach gloves and Eibach hat. Pictures coming soon.

Before I lower my wk, what are some things I should consider or be aware of? Is it ok to lower the car and keep the stock shocks/struts that I have now or is it better to get the srt8 bilsteins? Are srt8 bilsteins the only company that makes shocks/struts for them or are there any other companies? Do I have to cut the bumpstop or it is not required? First time lowering a cars, so I would like as much information as possible. Also, I want to get the srt8 front/rear sway bars. Do I need to get the sway bar links?

If i find who did this, i will give them the beating to remember for the rest of their life, in the name of the whole jeepgarage community. I am going to check the neighbor's cameras to see if they got anything.
