So I figured I'd start a journal of the progress of my GC instead of starting a new post every time something gets done. I'm bored up in Michigan instead of down in Florida so the work is at a stop until we get back down south where it is warm.

Here it is the day my wife and I bought our GC:

I took off the chrome air deflector as I'm trying to get rid of all the chrome and going just with grey and black:

I took off the chrome side steps a couple weeks ago but only have a picture of it up here in MI with the snow:

I've painted the rear Jeep badge:

I also painted the headlight housing black and tinted the side markers:

That's all for now. I've just ordered a 6000K HID Conversion Kit from Xenon Depot. I also ordered some paint from automotivetouchup.com to paint the grille and the side trim. I'll update once I get everything and get it all setup.

Couldn't agree more but if you're going with the black/gray theme I recommend doing the Plasti-Dip on ur wheels if you're feeling adventurous. :D

I thought about doing the Plasti-Dip until I save up some cash for the black SRT Reps. I still have mixed emotions with the stock wheels plasti-dipped.

so far so good! love the painted headlamps!
Thanks boss! Can't wait to get the paint and lights in to do more!

Started to get everything prepped for when my paint arrives. So far I have the grille sanded and primed.

Sanded down:

Self-Etching Primer:

Sandable Primer:

Test look on the Jeep:

That's all that I've gotten done for now. Once I get the paint and clear I'll post it up! Next part is to do the lower air dam.

I looks like you and robpp have the same obsession :worried:

The Jeep looks great and keep it up!

HAHA yea we sure do! I was telling my wife everything I wanted to do, then I saw Robpp's Grey Ghost and saw what I wanted to do already done and love it! I give him mad prop's for his Jeep! Thanks blackpepper!

Looks great man...I give you credit for painting it yourself!
Thanks Frankie! I have experience painting fiberglass custom car audio setups so I thought I'd give the trim pieces a try. If they don't work then they don't work. I'm prepping the front air dam as we speak and will have pics up once I get it done!

Well the front lip is primed and ready for paint. Still haven't heard from automotivetouchup.com on if it's been shipped or not. It'll be a week ago that I ordered it on Tuesday so hopefully I'll get it by next weekend. I'll have my HID Kit on Tuesday so that will be going in next weekend as well! Photos will follow of course!

CORRECTION: I'll have my paint on Tuesday and my lights haven't shipped yet. I guess as long as I'm getting something right?
