Re: Jeepfreak's SRT build

Alright guys, so I'm trying to debate on what to do with my fog lights. I'm either thinking of getting a smoked pair or a yellow pair. Now I know the yellow wouldn't match my black and red theme but I love the look of the yellow fogs. But the smoked lights would match my tails and everything lol. What do you guys think? For bulbs I'm currently running Xenon depot LED bulbs

Re: Jeepfreak's SRT build

i hear ya ive been debating it actually but the mounts look wrong for wk1s. I got some of those led bulbs and really disappointed with light output its just too scattered and you could never drive with them on only.
but i was pretty much kidding for your truck tho. I would think the yellow ones are just a little to obvious. I do like all the stuff youve done so far and the fact you spent the time to take pics and post them so thanks for that

Re: Jeepfreak's SRT build

I think what I might do is get a set of smoked fogs, and maybe run a 3K HID kit so when they are on, they will be yellow. Just not sure if I want to go back to an HID kit since that's what I already ripped out of it when I got it. Plus I already spent $50 on the LED bulbs. Your correct on the fact the light output is shit. I wanted something that would match the factory HID color and these match pretty damn close.

Re: Jeepfreak's SRT build

So I ended up just getting this protection film that is smoked 30%. It was only $22 with shipping so way cheaper than a set of fogs. If I don't like it, I'm only out the $22.

Re: Jeepfreak's SRT build

So I went to start re-wiring my LED tails today to make them plug-n-play with my 2010. Looked at the plug on the tails and realized they were different then in the picture of the item online. Worked to my advantage tho because they plug into the light socket of the OEM brake light allowing it to literally be plug-n-play out of the box on my 2010! The light output is amazing, even with the tint. Also got my copy of the original window sticker (I'm the 3rd owner)
