Tested out the external mic setup on my GoPro yesterday, so far I don't like it. Yes it picks up the sound better, but the quality isn't great. I don't think it helped that I had the gopro mounted directly above the exhaust (in front of the license plate). If you play this video on your phone or laptop it sucks and I wont even watch it lol, but if you have a decent set of speakers on your computer then it actually sounds good. I'm going to test out different angles to see if I can get it to sound better. Here is the shit video, oh and don't mind my dad washing his truck lol.

I watched it. I think it picks up bass better but it sounds muffled somewhat

Jeep:1 Snailblazer SS:0 Was stopped at a red light at 5:40 this morning on my way to work, and this blacked out and lowered SS pulls up next to me. Instantly put it in first and take traction control off. I could hear he had a custom exhaust but unknown other mods. We roll slow from the light (heavy cop area). After we roll thru the light we both got on it at the exact same time.... I put about 1 1/2 bus lengths on him and I let off. I seen he was still charging on so I got back on it and still pulled on him like a freight train. Then I tried slowing down and rolled down my window to try and talk to him but he flew by me all embarrassed lol. Tried reading his plate, said something about being slow. Win for the Jeep!

Well I got the rear lowering springs in, and dropping the jeep off today to have the front installed. So by tomorrow I will have a fully lowered beast!! Even with just the rear done I cant tell I'm going to love it

So I've really been contemplating doing custom headlights lately. Got a quote for exactly what I want and it's a little out of my price range. So Ill be attempting to do this myself since their are plenty of DIY's out there and not my first time cracking open headlights. So now this is my dilemma! I was told that the demon eyes (projectors lighting up red) don't last that long due to the HID getting so hot that the LED wont last very long. So should I just go ahead and do the demon eyes and worry about it burning out later, or find some good COB red halos and wire those in instead of the demon eyes? As of now my headlights will have brilliant black bezels, red projector cutoff (will make the projector look red when lights are off), and either demon eyes or halos. Now I'm pretty good at wiring so that not a problem. What do you guys think?

i would go for the COB red halos. IF leds, superbrightleds. I ran them as DRLs for yrs with no problems. Stay away from flastech

looking forward to it!
I wish they made a RGB kit for that .

Are the rings going around the projector? if so it will be the 80mm

Do you know if the COB rings can be cut Dave? I really want to do something like how the Oracle kit is but I really don't want to use Oracle...

This is for you guys running the Aeroforce Interceptor gauges that run off the OBDII port. One complaint that I had was when I needed to data log or clear a CEL I had to unplug my gauges which in turn lost the display. So this was my solution... I bought an OBDII port splitter cable. I plugged the female end into the factory OBDII port which I unclipped from the panel and pushed it behind the kick panel. One of the splitter ends I then ran to where the OEM plug was, the other I kept behind the steering column panel and plugged my gauges into. So now I am able to run both my gauges and data log/clear codes at the same time. Total cost was around $20 and 10min of my time. Looks factory now. Hope this helps anyone running these gauges.

In the last photos you can see I'm now able to run my tuner for logging and still have working gauges

Yup. Aeroforce Interceptor gauges display real time data from the pcm. Over 100 different displays, anything from battery temp to brake psi. They are expensive but worth it because they each have 2 ax inputs so I can hookup my AF ratio sensor directly to the gauges. You can run either a single or dual setup.

Just an update, patiently (trying at least lol) waiting for my parts to get here. Have a few parts at paint, some at powder coat, some in shipping, and others waiting to be made lol. Ran against this built cammed truck, was a single cab short bed so he weighed less than me. We were neck and neck up until 90mph then I started to pull on him up to 130mph when we let off. Got to the next light and he looks at the jeep and says "Man that bit** runs good!" lol win for me!

Go for it brotha
Thanks bro.

Here's my story and its kinda like jeep's....

About 4 months before shipping out to korea, i was coming back to post from walmart. Was at a stop light waiting for the light to go green. So im sitting there waiting when this tahoe rolls up along side me. Instanly could tell he had flowmasters on it. So i "nudge" the gas to see if he would bite....

He did, rev'd at me a few times. Im like, okay then. Turn tcs off and drop to manual mode. Didnt even bother launching it.

Light turns green and i punch it. We leave the light together and i start to leave him. I could hear him trying, so i stay in it till about 70 and let off. Didnt see him after that...or so i thought.

2 weeks later.

I go up to the diy auto shop on post with my buddy so i can do the exhaust on his truck. (Ya'll seen it, the one on my channel that spits flames) my bud gets a bay, pulls his truck in and i park the jeep behind him.

Next thing i know, this random guy comes up and starts telling me that he seen me a couple weeks ago. I just look at him kinda confused. I didnt remember that night from the light. He starts telling me how that was his tahoe (points to it) and how he had it floored and i was still walking from him. He asked what i had under it. He was surprised to hear it was just a v6 and asked what all i had done to it.

Made me feel good to have taken down a vortec 5.7.
