My 05 limited 5.7 build..first jeep!

Hey guys well after picking a few people's brains and playing with the jeep over last 2 and bit months thought I'd put a few before and after pics up of my daily/work ride.

After looking around came across this 05 limited 5.7..in black in immaculate condition. Seriously the interior looks as though its never been sat in..mechanically sound and with full service history I took it for a spin and was hooked. After owning some pretty quick LS powered cars in past its definitely not most powerful car but for a daily driver for my work its perfect..plenty of power when needed and comfortable to just drive and not be concerned about reliability issues or ground clearance. My usual cars ride heights leave ants scurrying at the sight of me lol

So I did the deal with the owner and drove it home.

Next day after finishing my shift at 6am I loaded the missus and daughter up and headed 5hrs north to a jeep wreckers I'd come across on eBay who happened to be wrecking a Black SRT8...definitely rare as rockin horse shit down here in oz..not many around and very rare to find any parts 2nd hand! It had been hit in the front leaving front bumper torn up..however he had the grille, rear bumper, side skirts, roof rails, bilstein shocks, and swaybars ready for me to pickup. Upon arriving noticed the damaged front bumper and was offered it for free if I thought I could repair..needless to say after some back n forth I found a guy willing to attempt and as seen in pics now unable to see where the damage was..reinforced now with Kevlar also.

Stuart Murchison of Murchison Jeep products here custom made the lowering springs and I fitted the lot up giving the improved stance, and much improved handling it now has!
I picked up the SRT8 rims from a guy who wanted a set of limited Ronin rims, for some cash and my std wheels then powder coated gloss black. With the 15% fr and 5% rear tints and blacked out chrome window strips and badges she's coming along nicely. Next up is blacked out headlights, custom cage in rear so as I no longer have to have seats folded for transporting the K9 for work, and the interior..as I used to do custom trim in a previous life and have design ready in my head lol
Rear bumper isn't fitted yet but won't be far off when I have a few days off to knock up the exhaust..roof rails will be on next week as now painted body colour.
All in all I'm pretty happy with it..overall a great drive and is a very different car to what it was when I picked it up just 10weeks ago. excuse the pics..was semi clean but roof isn't faded its dewy from driving all night at work lol

Ya I hear you haha. I don' think the wife knew what she started when she found our jeep for sale and thought it would be a good family car.
