My new Trailhawk WK2 & friend's 4Runner!!

Last week I got rid of my 2015 grand Cherokee Altitude and bought a 2017 trailhawk. Love the aggressive look of the front end but felt the wheels needed a more aggressive look. Picked up a set of rubicon hard rock wheels and put on some 32" BFG ko2s. Love the new look! Wish the wheels were around a +20 offset but I'm not really into running spacers.
Anyways, my buddy with a new 4Runner wanted to take some pics, so here they are! Sorry for the Toyota in a few ;) pics are also taken in all different quadralift height settings, from entry/exit to OR2.

I just bought a Trailhawk as well. I want to run some JK wheels. Did they fit without any issues? Beautiful Jeep!
Congrats! They bolted right up. It's close but no issues. I also have a v6 though, so I'm not sure if yours is the v8 or has the HD brakes. Those would require some grinding on the front calipers.

The rhino wasn't our first choice but they wanted to make a deal and made us an offer we could not refuse. My wife loves this Jeep. It is everything she ever wanted and more. We will have it a long time. With the lifetime warranty we have nothing to worry about. Your rig is gorgeous, you should be proud of it.

Thanks, I appreciate that! Looking forward to building it :) best of luck to the two of you on yours!

Looking good Dead Serial! So I just traded in my 2014 Altitude for a Trailhawk as well. I went with the V8. I am in love with it, my fiancée...well, she's coming to terms with it! Anyway, the only thing my Trailhawk is missing are the HID headlights/LED daytime running lights. Any advice/recommendations on after market conversion kits? I've read through so many posts and comments at this point, my head is spinning!

Here's a few pics of my brand new 2017 Trailhawk V8!! I've added a few small touches of plasti dip...just because. Anyway, part of the deal when I traded in my older Grand Cherokee was that they had to let me keep the rims/tires that I'd been running (I got an amazing deal on these high altitude black chrome rims a few years back and I'm still in love with them!). Also, I literally just purchased the Cooper Discoverer AT tires a few months ago and didn't really want to part with them just yet. I have run into one issue though...

About 20 mins after swapping the wheels out, all of the tpms sensors stopped working. I haven't really had time to do any research yet but I'm assuming that the 2017's are using different sensors than previous years. I've never had an issue with the sensors in the past. No matter what I've done with my tires, the computer has always managed to adjust and pick up the sensors within about 10-15 mins. Anyway, I called the dealership and the guys in the service department didn't really confirm or deny that the sensors were different. They just asked me to bring it in...

Do any of y'all happen to know if I'm right about the sensors not being the same?

I'm assuming you have the V6 to get 17" to fit?

Hello everyone! I understand the trade offs between buying a new/used/"cert pre owned" WK2 Trailhawk... my question is what made YOU decide to pull the trigger and get that new/used Trailhawk? I see SO many used V6's that is makes me lean towards the V8 (not trying to start the v6 vs v8 debate) - I assess both engines do the job well in different categories. Thank you! Welcoming all thoughts, comments, and ad hoc fallacies.

For me it was time for a new vehicle, and an upgrade from my 2016 Jeep Renegade Trailhawk.

Because I have things that I want to do with my Jeep, New was my choice because I didn’t want something that somebody else had broken in. In my minds eye, there is usually a reason that somebody traded in their vehicle, other than ‘it is just time for an upgrade’.

I consider myself to be somewhat of a “Hot Rod” enthusiast, so the V8 was the way for me to go.
Don't get me wrong, I liked my Renegade Trailhawk, and I made almost every possible upgrade or modification that can be made on a Renegade, to include turbocharging the 2.4L engine, 4-inch lift, heavy-duty bumpers front and rear, with winch, light bars... the works. It just isn't Hot Rod material. lol

I live in the mountains where I get snow so the Trailhawk capabilities and the heavy-duty brakes and drivetrain components fit the bill. I also have used it to tow my 23-foot travel trailer (5.7 Hemi, heavy-duty brakes and drivetrain components).

The Hot Rod side of me also wanted something to play with. V8 sound by upgrading the exhaust, V8 power… ProCharger upgrade was in the works anyways (heavy-duty brakes and drivetrain components), Stance upgraded rims and tires, adjusted the ride height (AlfaOBD) to give it a little bit more of an aggressive look.

I have one more big upgrade (SRT Brembo Brakes), and a couple more little upgrade and I will have my Hi-Performance Trailhawk (Off-Road capabilities, Trailer towing capabilities and some street performance capabilities).

…That and this Trailhawk came full loaded, adjustable ride height, Adaptive Cruise Control Dual Zone Climate Control, Leather Seats… I think that the only thing this doesn’t have is the Panoramic Roof, and that wouldn’t be something that you would want when you park you Jeep outside when it is snowing (IMHO) (too many things fall from the tress in a snowstorm).
