I did the rear-end myself but there was never a time when I would have been able to attempt the front unless I wanted to wait until summer so I caved and handed the job over. $800...ouch. But nobody wanted to touch it since they were worried about liabilities since I did the rear myself. I even offered to sign an agreement that they would only be liable for the front-end work. Finally found one garage that wanted the work.

The mounts weren't level and I wanted to re-weld them on when I had access to a welder with enough gas to get a good weld. They'll probably go back on when I take the time to rewire all my toys.

I need to man up and convince myself the 3.7 won't be a complete disaster once I lift it. I'm thinking OME with some bigger rubber but not too huge to be a slug, although I still want to take it out in Uwharrie. Any suggestions? Can I have the best of both worlds? I tried the trails once but the clearance on a stock wk is worthless and I had to turn back around...

Yeah, if i were you since you want to wheel it and have best of both worlds, OME lift and some 265's should do you right up!

Re: Nick's (GCL06) Build Thread

Great build thread. Love the look of your jeep.

Did you just unbolt the headlight guards from the brush guard or did they have to be cut off?

How's your 3.7 handle those extremely heavy Toyos?
