No more chrome!!!!!!

I'm all finished with my project of blacking out all the chrome pieces on my 2014 white overland. I painted, wrapped, powder coated and Plasti dipped everything. I even added a gloss black vinyl strip in the good. I'm loving it and my inspiration was a 2014 white srt called storm trooper.

Looks great. What did you use for the window trim?

Looks great, I did the same thing to my my other WK2 (on number three). Plastic Dipped all of the chrome trim around the windows and grill. Tedious work but well worth the effort and it held up without any issues.

I just picked up a WK2 SRT yesterday and that is one item that is high on the "to do" list. Just not looking forward to 10 hours of painstaking work.

Re: No more chrome!!!!!!

I'm not going to completely get rid of my chrome because I feel it gives it a little bit of a luxury car feel I will be replacing the chrome emblems. The "Grand Cherokee" emblems on the side are already black. I will replace the "Jeep" emblems on the front and tailgate, and I'm replacing the "Limited" with a Land Rover style slogan emblem that says "Above and Beyond" in black. I also have the black SRT HID headlights that I will be switching out from my standard halogens once I get the harness from jeep_addicted. It's in the works, so I should be getting the harness in the next couple of weeks. Here are some photos of my 2017 WK2 Limited and the replacing parts:ImageUploadedByJeepGarage1485470174.428146.jpgImageUploadedByJeepGarage1485470187.043649.jpgImageUploadedByJeepGarage1485470195.710794.jpgImageUploadedByJeepGarage1485470203.796104.jpgImageUploadedByJeepGarage1485470212.295589.jpgImageUploadedByJeepGarage1485470219.946441.jpgImageUploadedByJeepGarage1485470229.163479.jpg

Re: No more chrome!!!!!!

Looks great! On a white vehicle it looks nice but I think I will keep the chrome because my vehicle is that Dark Blue. I don't think black accent would mesh well.
