Yes the front calipers will be blue once I find the time to do them. The rears are kind of a teat to see it the paint can take the heat. So far so good! I have thought about painting a few other things but we will see. I considered painting my 4xG diff cover, but it would be a pain to maintain. If it is just flat black rattle can or bedliner touchups are easy, but when it is a base coat with a good clear (you know, good looking stuff) it gets more complicated. My rear skid is a pain to keep looking nice. I scrape it up almost every time I go wheeling and the front skid was the same way.

More pics from this morning! A little bit of a walk around if you will.

















Wheeling this will be interesting. Up front I have lost a couple inches of ground clearance along with some up travel, but gained a few inches of down travel. I can't wait to get the 35s under this thing and flex it out. I am hoping to be able to reclaim some lost up travel, but we will see. Drive line angles are great though. More on that and some measurements in a min...

Now for some numbers! Before the SL instal I measured my tie rod angle on flat ground. Now I used my phone so it might not be super accurate, but it should be close.

Before: 19.2*



After: 7.7*



So that is a nice change! Also I had slight trouble installing the strut assembly because of the length. I asked Sean if he had any trouble since he just did his a couple months back and we both have the new revised kit. He said his went in fine. I eventually got mine in so it wasn't a big deal. It got me thinking though, because the only difference in our front ends that would have affected the length of the strut assembly is our shocks. I am using the OME where as he has Bilstein. After comparing a couple of measurements I have come to the final conclusion that the OME shocks ARE longer than the Bilsteins. From the top of my strut plate to the center of the bolt hole in the fork I have 28 1/4" and he has 27 1/2". Once the suspension is installed and hanging at full drop my hub to fender measurement is just shy of 29" and his is 28 1/4".






I also found out that unless we get some better tie rods made 29" is the max they will allow before they lock up. Any more and they would be maxed out. The CVs on the other hand could go a little more. Just thought I would share

Well our TX trip was canceled today so I came home and painted the center caps on the new wheels blue. That way they will be dry and ready for the instal tomorrow. I can't wait!!!
