Haha! Thanks Dave. I think your money has disappeared into your Jeep's suspension as of late how is that coming btw? Did you get the new rear coils yet?

Re: Omelet's Build Thread!

They are here! Hopefully they work Shocks coming this week. Now its time to get it all fitted and sorted. Still have to get a set of front UCA's and do a set of limiting straps like yours. Did you get longer straps or did you have enough length in the adjuster?

Only other thing is I might end up relocating the axle shock mount higher XJ style to get some more droop.

Re: Omelet's Build Thread!

Sweet man! You still trying to get the RRO UCAs? I haven't reinstalled the straps yet. I am going to reuse the straps and adjustable clevis' and move the whole assumbly in front of the strut instead of behind it. I still need to get new rear shocks too. I thought about messing with the lower shock mount, but I'm not sure I want to start modding the rear axle. I want it to be an easy sell later on when I swap it out Still deliberating, it would be cheaper to mod the mount then buy new shocks.

Almost finished!

Yesterday I cut the two bars out that were in the way, ground down the excess, and slapped some primer on.

Then last night I brought it inside to figure placement and mockup the tabs.

Today I took it back outside and using some grinding discs, scrap wood, and duct tape to center the light bar right where I wanted it to tack the tabs in place.

Once the tabs were tacked I remover the light from harm to fully weld them then grind the welds clean.

Then I drilled a hole in each tab. And after slapping on some primer and semi gloss black it was good to go. I was a little annoyed, because the powder coat on the rack was in between the matte black and semi gloss that I had on hand. Oh well!

I gave it a little time to dry and then BOOM!

After giving the roof a thorough waxing the rack went back on. Unfortunately I ran out of time so I have to finish up the wiring tomorrow. Until then here are a couple crappy pics of it on the Jeep!

I can't wait to light this baby up tomorrow!!!

Re: Omelet's Build Thread!

Alright she's all wired up and ready to go!

Not sure when I will get out for some night shots. I am going to try and get at least some basic ones tonight, but we will see. I will get some off road shots this weekend instead of all these street/poser shots!

Thanks guys! Not sure about wind noise yet. I drove it down the street earlier, but I had all the windows down so everything was pretty loud I would assume it will be slightly quieter than my previous setup though. Having 4 individual light means the wind comes off the deflector and blows between and over each light cause a lot of noise. Where as this is one solid light and the wind should come off the deflector and only go right up and over the light instead. Not sure though, that's just how I think of it working. I will see soon enough!

Ok I took some quick night shots up my driveway with my phone. Not the best pics or spot, but that's all I have for now so enjoy!

Some basic info on my setup as it sits now: 3000k 55W HIDs in factory fogs, 4300k 35W HIDs in factory projectors, Rigid Industries 20" E-Series on the bumper, and Tough Light 42" Black Series on the roof.

This one I focused on the lights to tame the glare:

And this one I focused on the hood which gave it a very natural view. This is about what it looked like to the eye:

This one I was standing about 30' away and I literally could not look at the Jeep!!! Not kidding, I had to put my phone up in front of my face and focus in on the lights so I could take the pic. I was surprised it was able to get such a good shot:

And another goody:

On these I turned the auto off and focused in on the side of the house:

Lows and fogs:

Lows, fogs, and 20":

Lows, fogs, and 42":

I am loving the color of the new bar! I was never a big fan of the 6000K LEDs that Rigid uses. The 5000k(ish) LEDs that TL uses are so much better for visibility and usable light! I was actually planning on getting amber filters for my 20" and seeing if they fit the new 42" incase it needed it, but now I think I will just order some for the 20"
