Looks great, Nathan! Just FYI, Rigid will make their lights to any color temp you want for a small percentage increase in price, or in some cases for no charge (D2's).

Re: Omelet's Build Thread!

Just finished getting through most of this thread...incredible WK.

Thanks for all the consistent documentation and pictures. I'm planning a SL and want to bump it up a bit to run 35's like you have and this thread has a lot of solid information in it.

I really like those LEDs you just threw up there. I have those slim lights you just replaced on the rear of my jeep and I bet the throw on that LED strip is at least 10x further. No way those pictures can really do it justice either I bet.

Again, sweet ride!

That is good to know, however I don't see myself buying any more lights from them. I bought the D2s new right when they came out through a buddy for $300 and got the amber which was what I wanted. Then I scored the 20" of craigslist used for $300, couldn't really be picky there

Thanks a lot bud! I'm glad you enjoyed it and got some useful info out of it. If you have any questions feel free to ask!

Pics never do things any justice. Seeing it in person is the only way to fully grasp the awesomeness!

There is a lot to explain with this device, so it is easier to just point you here:

I am thinking of getting their Pyro Kit too so I can further expand the monitoring capabilities.

Ok here's the quick instal with some pics!

This plug went into the OBDII port. From it there is a wire that goes to an ACC source (I used the fuse box that is right behind the dash, same one I have been using) and ground. The other is an HDMI cable that goes up to the back of the WatchDog. I think there is a better way for this to work, but this will do for now!

It came with a suction cup mount so I put it here.

The view from the driver seat.

And a nice close up. This was before I had it fully set up. Notice the Econ tip at the bottom! Haha, after looking into it the goal MPG was set to 25! Like that was going to be happening

Re: Omelet's Build Thread!

Time for a little security! Since I live down here in North Mexico I am always worrying about some guy with sticky fingers walking up to my Jeep and taking something that isn't his. Most items are either bolted on in such a way that it doesn't just come off, the mounting hardware is hidden, or I don't risk it and keep it inside. Now that I have this pretty new light bar I would like to use it and have it still be there when I need it. I am still devising a plan to secure it better but for now I picked up a couple of these bad boys (push nuts) :

After smashing the crap out of them they are not going anywhere easily.

This is only a temporary despise for the bolts, but it will work for now

Re: Omelet's Build Thread!

Ya my house is about 5 miles north of the boarder! We call it Chula-Juana Since the only thing seperating Chula Vista and Tiajuana is a fence.
