Nice bike too!
Yea I added a 3" soft ride at the time which was a add a leaf that removed to leafs. I also built 9" shackles with with rubber bushing for flex. I built the Jeep myself with some help from my friend Alfred. I had a fab shop for the business I was in at the time so I made the bumpers and reinforced the 44's. The 120 lb flywheel was the best with the steel clutch the gears were so low I could stand outside the jeep and steer it up any thing. I had a locker in the back and the front was welded I say it was a locker (white lie) but that would have been another $800 20 years ago.

My only change would have been 33's instead of 32's, little wider and just a little more clearance. I spent hours upon hours in the desert getting myself stuck with my dog. I would have people come by and go WTF how the hell did you manage to get in that position...I tried...then I would dig my way out with the high lift and a come along. It was fun but it taught me how to 4 wheel the right way what the Jeep was capable of and what it would not do. My favorite was to to go over those waterline ditches at a 45 degree angle to just stretch the suspension out, I would stop and rock the Jeep with 2 on the ground and 2 hanging. I had a motorcycle and a VW and it was my toy...My GF at the time loved to drive it but could never get the grasp of coasting thru a corner she always gave it gas...chirp...chirp.chirp.

Any how yea I use to spend weekends out in the desert with either my dog or friends and just Jeep it up I have some more sick pics also...This is at the cinders some time in May of 1991, Its in Flagstaff and allot of fun...I was way down of power compared to some of the guys and it was all I had to make it up the hills but it was fun anyhow. I have to pull out some old photo albums and scan the pics right. It was allot of fun and I am thinking if things go right about building another jeep to go crawling in...

This time I would box the frame and tub the rear section for some shock mounts open the wheel wells up so I could get 45 degrees of articulation out of the axel for a total of 90 degrees I have the design in my head with a self leveling system to keep it flat or Manual It woul;d be hymed in the middle with either a bag system or some Kings.Same up front I would use Dana 60's boxed with 5.56 gears and an automatic probably a stock 302 for motor FI.I have a linked suspension in my head that would kill it and with the one tone axles I could have the strength I would need. 4 way brakes and motorized steering with a set of replacements in the back in case I broke one. Steering links suck so mount then right on the axel and steer by wire.

Any how I hope you rnjoy some of the rides
