I wish I were military. Not serving while I could have(40 yrs old now) has been one of my biggest regrets.
My family is huge on hunting/fishing. We usually prefer bow hunting, but gun season is just as important a holiday! lol Fishing is huge in Korea. Every town, even small ones have a bait/tackle/gear shop fully stocked and ready to service. Just before I moved out of Michigan(born/raised in and around Detroit) to Vegas, my ex-roommate stole my nice Golden Eagle Compound bow. I was livid. He pawned it before I could get it back.
Congrats on your accomplishments in Korea! My wife-to-be is also teacher-to-be. She's math/science/early childhood and is thinking of getting her masters in special ed.
I shot archery leagues since I was about 6. My target bow is a Golden Eagle!
I now shoot a BowTech General.
All of hunting season is a big deal to me from small game season in September until January 1. Then it's all ice fishing season. Opening day of gun season is a holiday for me, which this was the first year I missed in my life... due to work. I often claim opening day of gun season is a religious holiday and used to skip school with that excuse!!
