Re: Quick Build Thread... WK

Usually two weekends a month or more. We belong to a private hunting club. We own 18000 acres (28 square miles) of land. I'll be up this coming weekend if I don't have to work. It's tip-up town festival. I only missed this weekend because we had VIP cage fight tickets for last night.

Nice Jeep!
Nice pics!
Nice mods!
Nice deer!
15 posts and you're off to a better start than most of our long-time members!
What did you use to take down the deer?
Venison over beef anyday. Healthier and more humane. I'm thinking of taking a hunting trip in Mongolia before I come back to the states.

Thanks! I'm more of a lurker. I have more posts on JU and JF... Strange I have even less posts on our local boards because the national boards interest me more.

I used a 30-06. WOC during rifle season.

I see you're in Korea and I'm assuming you're in the service. I have multiple friends serving there currently. I wish I knew where they were!

Nope. Not military. I've been here teaching English and other subjects since 2007. I just gave a seminar(basically teaching other teachers) that I'm told won some kind of award and is going to become standard training accross Korea(Literally was told this between this and my last post on your thread!). I wish I were military. Not serving while I could have(40 yrs old now) has been one of my biggest regrets.

My family is huge on hunting/fishing. We usually prefer bow hunting, but gun season is just as important a holiday! lol Fishing is huge in Korea. Every town, even small ones have a bait/tackle/gear shop fully stocked and ready to service. Just before I moved out of Michigan(born/raised in and around Detroit) to Vegas, my ex-roommate stole my nice Golden Eagle Compound bow. I was livid. He pawned it before I could get it back.

Congrats on your accomplishments in Korea! My wife-to-be is also teacher-to-be. She's math/science/early childhood and is thinking of getting her masters in special ed.

I shot archery leagues since I was about 6. My target bow is a Golden Eagle! I now shoot a BowTech General.

All of hunting season is a big deal to me from small game season in September until January 1. Then it's all ice fishing season. Opening day of gun season is a holiday for me, which this was the first year I missed in my life... due to work. I often claim opening day of gun season is a religious holiday and used to skip school with that excuse!!
