It definitely helps top end (which is what an intake like this is for, "all our racing"). But when I ran it for awhile at first it screamed above 3K rpm but lagged off idle. So on the street it sucked off the line and at low rpm which is where the majority of your driving is at on the street. So I took it off but I am hoping I can offset it now. I'll find out soon.

Re: Richie's Supercharged 4.7HO

I see. I know where you took it off now, hopefully you can work some magic on the tune to get it running as good or better than the stock intake.

I guess you considered getting a '08> intake manifold?

I fixed some of the auto correct words that my phone decided to change. Now it makes more sense lol.

I thought about trying the 08 manifold but it's still plastic and that was one of my fears, was that the intake would fail over time from above average boost.

Hahaha, yeah I did read it and knew what you meant anyway.

True enough, your intake manifold must go through hell with the amount of boost you are running! Good luck on getting the tune refined with the sheet metal version.

Re: Richie's Supercharged 4.7HO

I lost a very important family member a few weeks back (unexpectedly) that was also one of my best friends. I really thought about leaving my Jeep behind because it has grown old and didn't seem important in my life anymore. My cousin who had just passed was a car guy like me, so after a few additional weeks I decided to get back on the horse and continue on my lonely journey with my ever aging piece of equipment (WJ) and try to finish what I had started. He always liked my Jeep so Now I have a new reason to keep moving forward even though I lost someone who truely cared about what I was doing or at least trying to accomplish.

Many of you on here know I do not post very much and I am sure many of you don't even like me (although they probably wouldn't be reading this thread) but the few that have talked to me or met me in person knows I have always given up my time to help other fellow jeepers out or answered a few phone calls about problems they couldn't figure out.

So with those little insights I hope I can be a little more involved and I do have a few things I would like to accomplish even if it is not right away.

Thank you guys, I appreciate it.

I did drive it yesterday. I can say it is not run great. I am running 2 range cooler plugs and under really high boost is fine but you don't generally run in that spot. I think they may be a tad to cold for general use. I also am still running really rich so it loads up quick. Sean says my fuel injectors are to big now, and I don't want to buy a 4th set of injectors.

Re: Richie's Supercharged 4.7HO

It's been a long time since I went forced induction. I just been driving my jeep for about a wek straight now while I was working on my Dakota. I kinda forgot why i started doing this years ago because it sits so much of the time. I can say though it does pull allot of attention and I have got a few people screaming at me through their windows since i have been driving it and wanted to know what was up with my Jeep LOL.

I need to get some new headlights since mine are getting to be in pretty bad shape, I need to have my SCT tune finished for the way my jeep is now and I would like to get a Liquid/Air intercooler and shoe horn it somewhere.

Allot of you guys buy tires, I need to put some on my Dakota. Where have you guys found the best place to get new tires from?
