Re: Some pics of my Jeeps...at last!

nice job with your grille bro!

i was just going to say, was that XJ a postal truck (right hand drive) then i i look and youre in Europe so

do you still have that XJ? i still love mine*

i cant quite make out the headrest (to be able to pinpoint the year of your XJ) it looks like its a 91 or so. i have a beater XJ 4.0 wagoneer for parts as well as my blue 1988 XJ. if ya ever need a part or something, ask me, i may have an extra or could take it out of one of my jeeps for ya. my jeeps arent road ready, they will be future driveway plowers

Looks freaking awesome with the mesh grille. You still thinking of doing a mesh insert on the lower section?

Notice you have the same tow hitch as me too, do you use it or do you despise it and want to punch the guy that fitted it like me?
Thanks Marty

I know, my apologies. Better late then never though eh? Yeah I'm gonna give the lower a section a go in the next few weeks.

I don't use the hitch at all. I'm not bothered about it being there (other than its damn ugly). I find its useful when reverse parking, saves my bumper getting damaged just kidding.

Thanks man

My XJ was originally imported from Arizona (I've got the old licence plates). A previous owner had it converted to right hand drive, for insurance purposes I believe. Its a 1993, so you're spot on.

I've still got it, but unfortunately it's been off road for almost two years. Basically it needs a new floor! I'm having a new one made at mates rates, but the guy can only manage a couple of hours a month, which I'm fine with. Also could do with new radiator hoses, I replaced the radiator with a brand new one, then the upper hose develpoed a nasty split. The XJ still drives nice, its currently kept on private land so I can take it for a spin once a month just to keep it ticking over.

Thanks for the offer that's great. Never seen a Wagoneer over here. I'd love to get hold of a Commanche though, because you never see them in the UK.

Re: Some pics of my Jeeps...at last!

nice yo, yeah mine is a 88' so i got the halo headrest (my favorite kind for the XJ) just makes the bucket seat looks bangin. i had a picture of someone elses jeep with bucket seats in the back row too, but when i did it i couldnt get it to work on one side cause of a broken floor clip.

my friend upstate still has a grey comanche upstate, also got a friend with a cherokee 2 door chief in black. the XJ is just a simple interior to flow with. nothing too crazzy and everything is well in hands reach yet space for people too.

i remember my first mod (in my teens) to the jeep was tweeters in the front window panels/pillars where that lil punch out is on the arm. instant sound enhancement. i eliminated the lower tweeters after that. i also took the 6x9s out of the back door into designated boxes for not clapping and better sound with bass blockers cause i had 2 12in RF subs.

ok im going to stop here cause this is irrelevant to you and your jeep

good job bro-

Re: Some pics of my Jeeps...at last!

^^^he he nah dude I love hearing about others Jeeps. That reminds me I did see a two door XJ left hand drive in the town I work and I was like whoa! Don't see too many of them around here. Same colour as my XJ too. I've got some full leather seats to go in the XJ, just got the half leathers just now. The XJ was my first Jeep, that's how the love story began
