In the tracking thread, it looks like new orders are running 4-6 weeks. I don't know if those are V-6 models though; back in August it looked like the V-8 ones were getting built more quickly due to greater engine supplies. Maybe that's changed by now. It also doesn't look like the new builds are getting sent off into limbo for weeks on end either- I've seen tracking info on some that shows they are rolling off the assembly line and being shipped only a couple days later.

Re: Stone White Overland

The GC looks good in any color. Last night I saw a white Overland, V8, quadra-lift, 730N navi, with beige interior. It was not prepped, wheels and seats all covered in plastic, and it looked GREAT. All the other GC were in black or charcoal.

I'm going back today to make a deal. Wish me luck.

Re: Stone White Overland

I also ordered a stone white...I haven't seen it with the overland package, but it looks really good with dark windows and all the chrome accents. The last few trucks I've had have been black and while I love it at first, I just can't keep it clean!

I pretty excited about my stone white overland!!

Re: Stone White Overland

I ordered a Stone White with Frost Beige...I love dark colors as well but too much to a hassle to keep clean.

Re: Stone White Overland

I ordering the same, 4x4 overland hemi in stone white with frost beige. I think I will also add the new safety package.

I wish the white was a bright white, but I just can't face silver again. The dark colors are beautiful when new, but by 3 years show too many flaws.

Re: Stone White Overland

I went with the stone white, new saddle interior. Already have the chrome fog light bezels on order and a hemi emblem for the back. Going to black out the windows and she will be ready to go!

I never had a problem with touchups on my sapphire blue ZJ, but my two WJs, platinum and slate, are difficult to fill paint chips and scrapes with the touchup. They show no matter what technique is used short of having a body shop do the work. Even the white would probably do the same thing since the color is clear coated, and you'd be using the pigment atop this.

Re: Stone White Overland

Well, I went into a dealer today to look at a white/beige Overland this morning and ended up buying it. It had all what I wanted: hemi, 730N, quadra-lift. They had a black also with the V6 but it had the rear DVD which I really didn't want.
If I had to order one, I would have missed out on the 730N and of course the wait. I do feel a bit fortunate because most Overlands seem to have been pre-ordered. This one was just delivered and still covered with plastic. I take delivery on Monday and traded in my '02 GC Overland. Can't wait to bring it home.

I keep my cars clean, so dark or light does not really both me. My issue is that black and other dark colors really show the minor scratches/swirl marks that appear after a few years. In contrast, silver is very forgiving. Regarding touch-ups, the less metallic the better.

I looked at colors again yesterday. I finally saw the Mineral Grey. I like it, but stone white is probably still my first choice. Maybe I'm struggling because there is not that much distinguishing the exterior of an Overland from the most basic Laredo. I wish there were a few color choices that were exclusive to the Overland.
