Re: The Detail of Viking757's SRT8

Tim's SRT didn't have much brake dust, but I have used it on my fathers car and Sonax helps out a lot. It breaks down the brake dust everywhere. It also takes some tar off too. But for Tar I would use Ironx.

I love sonax since it helps out a lot and doesn't take as much effort to clean the wheels.

A pressure washer is very handy, but to be honest the foam gun/lance is a bit of a novelty more than anything. I have both, but most of the time the garden hose is more than enough. Foam is fun though!
Well said brother

I didn't think there was anyone as serious or into detailing as I was in the NoVa area. Where are you guys located? I have a ton of equipment and products, you can find me on a few detailing sites under the same moniker. If you guys ever have any interest in meeting up it would be cool to meet some others on here. BTW I feel like I see that SRT8 on the GW parkway a decent bit, might be a different one.

Looks great!

Paul, how do you like the foam gun? I want something like that but not sure how it will hold up with the light water pressure that my water well has.

I like it. It does the job right. That's why they made a Foam Gun that can attach to the normal garden hose. Make sure you Dilute the soap to the correct amount and you'll be happy. You can change the amount of concentration you want to use from Less Foam to More Foam action. It's fun too. Helps loosen up what's stuck to the paint.

I used the Citrus wash which stripped off everything that would be stuck onto the paint. I made sure no wax or sealant was on there. When the sheeting occurred, I knew I stripped off everything. Then I used Meguairs Gold Class and gave it a nice wash.

Nice! I'm in Arlington so not terribly far. I'll try and make it out to the car show and meet some of you guys. I appreciate the heads up. That might be you on GW then.

Jeep looks great man.
