Meet Shadow!!

And throwing this one in from me running the in the SCCA Solo II event in HI :)

You'll have to look closely to figure out what the new mod is that is finally being unveiled; well actually there are a few visual treats on her now since I last posted but there is one that is the FIRST of it's kind ;)

+rep for whomever figures out what the 1 of a kind mod is (I have never seen it done to a WK yet) :D

But regardless, I hope you guys enjoy the pics :D

moldings nice job

Looks like light covers are molded into the headlight to make it one piece.

Ah, no molding. Last pic threw me off. Lol.

sorry bro.....there is a things such as too much...and IMHO...thats too much black. JMO...so need to flip out. LOL

FYI-you are the second that i know of to delete the sidemoldings. There was a guy that rebuilt a wrecked WK a couple years ago on "another site" that shaved and filled the moldings.

Thanks for the heads up; it was the 1st that I knew of.

And I'm not afraid of black, LMAO! J/p. Yeah it's definitely not for everyone :) And no I won't flip out about it, lol!!

And FYI, that is why her name is Shadow.

how do the headlight do at night? I'm assuming you have HID;s....do they light up the road good?
Actually, I was using the High beam bulb mod on my fogs and lows for the longest time; with that setup, my high-beam-bulb low beams did not do shi!t!!! My high-beam-bulb fogs were what lit up the road (the whole 100ft of it, lol) :( Then I put in my HID kit from Tony (finally!!) and I can actually see them illuminate the road but the lows are still rather dim; fogs still perform very well.
and I hit ya with some rep!!!!
Thanks mang!

Thanks T!! There will be more pics of her once she arrives in Cali!! :D

Looks great...I really like the no side moldings look...the headlights are cool looking too....but I'm sure they steal a lot of your light like you said...why didn't you do the black painted housings but leave the lens alone? Wanted something else this time?
They do steal a lot of light. I did do my "nifty" mod but also thought it wasn't enough fro me and my blackout theme. So I blacked out the lens after I "nifty'd" the housings, lol.

 Gillette should sponsor you on how well those moldings were shaved
It could be better though, IMO. But I am fairly particular about things like this, too. But a sponsor would be nice!!

onec you go black you dont go back!
 that is true! :D  (don't tell anyone though, but I have a secret infatuation with SBM ;) )

hit ya up with some rep really sweet ride like me says before ... don't the police f with you when you have tinted lights like that? I know here in Dallas they do...
Thanks, bro! And they haven't yet. Most of them just look and stare as I drive by

Damn Nifty, thats truck is sexy . If I had an SRT I'd be doing the same exact things, looks awesome.
Thanks bro!!

 that really did make me LOL!!

Looks sick brotha, nice job! What's next for Shadow?
Not too sure yet. I would like to sell the custom DynoMax X + 3" custom pipe + 5" tips catback and go with a full system attached to a Magnaflow catback (and add 5" tips :D ) That is my intent but house buying has me fairly wrapped up now :) (so Shadow might have to wait, lol).

But something I will be doing is removing the factory grill inserts and the bumper insert and adding in my own choice of screen (pc'd black of course) and then do the same with the rear bumper after cutting ;) . Then with the front "SRT8" removed from the picture, I will be removing the one from the rear as well. (these are the only two pieces on the truck that are not black (another option is to paint the both of them ;) )

im going to jump on the deleted lower molding - wow, it really looks great. the moldings have clips though right? holes that needed to be filled im sure? care to PM me with some details about how you went about this?

should have come from the factory like that, looks mean as hell!
I really think they should have as well; I was ecstatic when I seen how she looked afterwards!

And I will share it here so anyone can know. As far as the mod went, remove factory moldings and plastic hardware; fill factory holes (where teh plastic hardware mounted into the door) however you deem fit (fill carefully, weld in a small metal piece, etc); fill factory recessed groove (where molding used to sit) with filler; smooth; repeat fill if necessary to achieve desired results and resand; paint as necessary (and paint your entire door unless you know someone who is excellent at blending...trust me!). Any other info anyone needs/wants just let me know :)
