We still need to hit the yards and start finding these parts. I prefer saving up with my money scheme and buy the engine first since it will be the most expensive part. If it all falls together I'll pay my debt first then should have my engine BY may next year then take two weeks off vacation then start hope you can join me Brodie.

Re: The Lucy Build.

actually I may have found something that is rather interesting... alex, keep your trans

from that other site, I followed a discussion with bill from paramount and he says the W5A580 in our wks actually has the same number of friction plates as the W5A900. and he goes on to say its the same trans found in the SL65 AMG and we all know what powers that beast!

That k you sir makes me feel a bit more comfortable knowing that our wks actually have something useful a good tranny should deff hold up the big engine we are going to drop in. So like I said earlier after the tranny don't change anything right? Josh and I need to start digging these parts out of yards that have hemis.

Re: The Lucy Build.

My trans has a max rating at 475whp. Yes you can go over that limit, but then you have a ticking time bomb on your hands. Yes a stage II valve body will make it last longer, but if your pushing more than 500whp, id save for a new trans ($3,800 for the one I'm looking at for next year). Now your situation might be a little different if you stick with 2wd....

I think on LX models they are rated at like 550whp. So you can do simple bolt ons and be good. You should still consider a stage II valve body tho. Will make a huge difference

X2 shifts are much cleaner with a. Valve body. You've seen how mine shifts with one.

Well awd has more driveline losses and usually rate the trans at a lower max due to increased stresses in the system. Thats why a rwd vs awd with the same trans, the rwd will dyno higher. Power isnt split front to back like in awd.
